Facing the carbon credit crunch
British industry was dealt a blow in 2019 when the European Union (EU) decided not to provide UK companies with their usual carbon credits, under its carbon emissions trading scheme (EU ETS). For industrial businesses, this blow directly affects the bottom line - and it's only set to continue as the UK leaves the EU.
