ALIO MEETS THE PRODUCTION DEMANDS OF COMPLEX AND MINIATURE INTEGRATED CIRCUIT BOARDS

As complexity increases and size decreases, IC manufacturers lean more and more heavily on sophisticated metrology tools to validate the quality of finished products. Challenges especially escalate when looking at high volume manufacturing, where metrology tools are indispensable for ensuring quality control, optimizing processes, improving yield rates, enabling real-time monitoring, and keeping pace with technological advancements.

Application story: UltraFlex induction brazing miniature steel assembly

The demo application was set up for a manufacturer of cryogenic cooling solutions who was looking for ways to increase the energy efficiency and quality of their brazing processes using induction.

Nexen Group Announces New Line of High Torque and Moment Load Capacity Rotary Indexers

Nexen Group announced a new line of Rotary Indexers. The X-Line delivers up to three times more torque and greater moment load capacity in a compact package. Nexen's X-Line has a redesigned roller pinion and a larger gear pitch to handle higher torque capacities that deliver accuracy, fast acceleration, high-speed positioning, increased load capacity, and true repeatability. The X-Line's mounting features and the additional fastening points of the rigid cast housing are designed for a greater moment load capacity than a standard design. Additionally, systems can be designed for low or zero backlash to meet the project specifications.

binder USA Introduces Two New Angled Connectors for Confined Spaces

binder USA announced new angled variants of its snap-in 720 and NCC 770 series miniature connectors. A notable design change is the addition of a threaded ring between the contact body and the angled housing. This enables connectors to withstand loads that far exceed standard requirements, even when the force is applied at an angle to the connector axis. Another enhancement is that the contact body can be rotated in steps of 90°, allowing the user to choose the direction of the cable outlet. (Cable routing is often problematic for housings angled at 90° because bending the cable precisely can be difficult.) To address this, binder used an angle of 100° for the new housings, considerably simplifying cable assembly. Key applications include lighting and heating technology, medical devices, mobile and laboratory instrumentation and metrology, and handheld control devices
