IBIS Electro-Products Corp. expands its inductive ring sensor line up
Explore the new AECO SIA series inductive ring sensors from IBIS Electro-Products Corp.
SIA Inductive Ring Sensors
SIA Inductive ring sensors detect the presence of metal objects passing through the sensing field located inside the ring. They are particularly suitable for detecting small metal parts made of either ferrous or non-ferromagnetic metals. Some of the many applications for inductive ring sensors include: vacuum part feeders, screw feeders, broken wire detection, congestion detection in clogged supply tubes, part ejection jamming during production, counting pieces, and monitoring the free flow of metal objects in open air.
The sensors are available in 9 internal ring diameters ranging from 5 to 100mm. Object size resolutions range from 0.7 to 12 mm for spheres. Models available in NPN and PNP outputs with selectable pulse stretching.
Sensor hook-up connections are model dependent and available with a cable, or quick connect M8 and M12 connectors.

Using AI to Collect & Leverage Data
Data is the foundation of Industry 4.0. While skilled workers will always be essential, data is reshaping the manufacturing landscape, enabling automation of repetitive tasks, empowering smarter decision-making with AI assistance, and reducing defects and downtime. This shift allows small and medium-sized manufacturers (SMMs) to compete more effectively on quality, speed, and cost. While AI and machine learning systems typically require around two years to collect enough data to reach their full potential, manufacturers can start seeing benefits almost immediately with basic analysis tools and dashboards. Our MEP National NetworkTM expert explains how in this Manufacturing Tomorrow article.
