Enabling Sustainable Manufacturing of Innovative New Products

AUSTIN, TX -- MARCH 13, 2022 - PulseForge® Corp. is pleased to present its innovative manufacturing technologies at the South by Southwest® (SXSW) Creative Industries Expo in Austin, Texas from March 13th - 16th, at Booth 827 in the Austin Convention Center. PulseForge's Digital Thermal Processing™ tools enable next-gen consumer electronics like AR/VR goggles, and medical and lifestyle wearables, while dramatically reducing the manufacturing energy required by 85% or greater.

Enabling Next-Gen Products
Reducing weight and improving comfort of AR/VR goggles are seen as critical to break through the 20 minute barrier which is the typical wear tolerance for most users. PulseForge's technology enables designers to create AR/VR goggles that look and feel more like standard eyeglasses or even sleeping masks, which in turn can enrich the user's experience. Additionally, PulseForge's tools allow for the creation of more advanced medical wearables that can be built directly on flexible patches, resulting in more accurate, real-time monitoring of health conditions for substantial lifestyle improvements and reduced health disruptions. Our team works closely with designers and producers to reap the benefits of our PulseForge Digital Thermal Processing™ tools, resolving the constraints of processing temperatures.

"We aspire to a world with new products which are not-yet imagined, built to provide improved health and lifestyle while at the same time being smarter and more responsible to the environmental health of the planet for all who live here," said Chief Marketing Officer, Stan Farnsworth. "By supporting designers and producers with our new manufacturing technologies, we can let them better tap into their creativity without being hampered by manufacturing constraints. They can build what they imagine."

PulseForge's Digital Thermal Processing™ equipment offers unprecedented freedom in product design, throughput, and sustainability.

During SXSW 2022, PulseForge experts will be available for consultation at Booth 827 in the Austin Convention Center regarding design, manufacturing, and sustainability.

T.J. Davies' Retention Knobs

T.J. Davies' Retention Knobs

Our retention knobs are manufactured above international standards or to machine builder specifications. Retention knobs are manufactured utilizing AMS-6274/AISI-8620 alloy steel drawn in the United States. Threads are single-pointed on our lathes while manufacturing all other retention knob features to ensure high concentricity. Our process ensures that our threads are balanced (lead in/lead out at 180 degrees.) Each retention knob is carburized (hardened) to 58-62HRC, and case depth is .020-.030. Core hardness 40HRC. Each retention knob is coated utilizing a hot black oxide coating to military specifications. Our retention knobs are 100% covered in black oxide to prevent rust. All retention knob surfaces (not just mating surfaces) have a precision finish of 32 RMA micro or better: ISO grade 6N. Each retention knob is magnetic particle tested and tested at 2.5 times the pulling force of the drawbar. Certifications are maintained for each step in the manufacturing process for traceability.
