Attendees will learn about a progression of different yet complimentary airside technologies and design practices that can be used individually, but are best applied collectively, to significantly and safely reduce ventilation-related energy expenses. Facts and figures will help quantify potential energy savings for regional climates and specific case studies will be presented on relevant projects such as Masdar City in Abu Dhabi and projects within the United States.
• Dan Diehl, CEO of Aircuity, will speaking as part of a laboratory ventilation session on ventilation on October 16th from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. entitled "Next Generation Lab Ventilation Technology Address Key Areas of Business Concern". Mr. Diehl will describe the technology that allows energy savings to be easily tracked and provide better insight on a lab's indoor environmental quality through analytics that are being used by both EHS and facility managers. Implementing the newly released technology has also allowed universities to address their growing deferred maintenance backlogs. Real world examples will be presented of a university using the analytics to identify IEQ incidents affecting their labs and a case study will be shared showing how another university's project directly reduced their maintenance backlog.

T.J. Davies' Retention Knobs

Our retention knobs are manufactured above international standards or to machine builder specifications. Retention knobs are manufactured utilizing AMS-6274/AISI-8620 alloy steel drawn in the United States. Threads are single-pointed on our lathes while manufacturing all other retention knob features to ensure high concentricity. Our process ensures that our threads are balanced (lead in/lead out at 180 degrees.) Each retention knob is carburized (hardened) to 58-62HRC, and case depth is .020-.030. Core hardness 40HRC. Each retention knob is coated utilizing a hot black oxide coating to military specifications. Our retention knobs are 100% covered in black oxide to prevent rust. All retention knob surfaces (not just mating surfaces) have a precision finish of 32 RMA micro or better: ISO grade 6N. Each retention knob is magnetic particle tested and tested at 2.5 times the pulling force of the drawbar. Certifications are maintained for each step in the manufacturing process for traceability.
