New Ultra-Flat, Zero-Backlash Gear by Harmonic Drive LLC
Harmonic Drive LLC, a leader in high precision motion control introduces new, ultra-flat, zero-backlash gear unit. The CSF-2UP gear unit is the newest model in the CSF mini-series product line. These new high-torque, zero-backlash gear units have an ultra-flat configuration and feature a large cross-roller bearing with high-moment stiffness.

These new high-torque, zero-backlash gear units have an ultra-flat configuration and feature a large cross-roller bearing with high-moment stiffness. Complete with a housing and precision output bearing, Harmonic Drive® gear units are lightweight and extremely compact. The CSF-2UP gearheads are ideally suited for robots or manipulators requiring an ultra-compact solution.
Harmonic Drive® gear units are comprised of a zero-backlash gear integrated with a housing and precision output bearing. These new models are very lightweight and extremely flat. Utilizing a large cross-roller bearing at the output flange allows direct mounting of the load without the need for any additional support, enabling compact robot designs. These bearings have excellent axial and radial run-out characteristics and provide high load capacity as well as high-moment stiffness to achieve precise, repeatable positioning of the robot arm.
Gear Ratios of 30:1, 50:1, and 100:1 are available in each size, offering the machine designer a wide selection of speed and torque specifications. Motor mounting adapters are also available to match the designers choice of motor.
Like all Harmonic Drive® gear units, the CSF-2UP mini gears are highly reliable and maintain zero backlash for the life of the gear.
