3DPRINTUK ACHIEVES ISO 9001:2015 ACCREDITATION FOR 3D PRINTED PARTS SERVICE

The company is pleased to announce that it has now passed Stage 2 of the ISO 9001:2015 standard audit with ZERO findings, after completing Stage 1 earlier in the year. This means that 3DPRINTUK operates at the highest levels for quality assurance and validation of 3D printed parts for its clients on a daily basis, in full compliance with the ISO 9001 standard.

(December 21st 2022, London, U.K.) As 2022 closes out, 3DPRINTUK is delighted to end the year on a high note.

Nick Allen, CEO of 3DPRINTUK, commented: "Achieving ISO 9001:2015 certification is a major milestone. I am so proud of the whole team, and flattered to get the feedback from the BSI auditor, who commented that the 3DPRINTUK Quality Management System (QMS) was ‘the one of best QMS I've ever seen.'"

This is a real testament to the in-house knowledge and expertise of 3DPRINTUK, as the QMS was built in-house and tailored to the operations of the company and the needs of its clients and guaranteed full integration of pre-existing processes.

Allen continued: "This accreditation does not change anything in our day-to-day operations at 3DPRINTUK because quality has always been at the heart of what we do. But it does mean that our customers have an important guarantee about the quality of their parts. From 2023 ALL orders will be officially processed against the ISO 9001:2015 standard — even though that has been happening in practice for a long time, already."

Alessandro Catania, Quality and Compliance Manager at 3DPRINTUK further stated: "It is really gratifying after going through the extensive ISO 9001:2015 process to be notified that there are zero findings. Quality and quality assurance are a central feature of all of the manufacturing and production services that we offer. And now we can prove it. By achieving ISO 9001 certification, we can demonstrate that all of our systems, processes and procedures meet the high demands that this certification requires for all of our 3D printed parts."

ISO 9001:2015 is an international standard, and a key benchmark for managing quality. It puts customer satisfaction at the core of operations, drives continuous improvement and affords end-to-end manufacturing traceability.

3DPRINTUK supplies 3D printed parts for low volume, on-demand batch production to the highest quality standards for a wide range of industrial sectors.

Accreditation of the ISO 9001 standard is being awarded to 3DPRINTUK by the British Standards Institution (BSI).

Looking ahead to 2023, 3DPRINTUK will continue with its plans to further grow its service offering in a number of ways. Following a recent customer survey feedback, watch out for new additions and product launches early in the new year.

ABOUT 3DPRINTUK
3DPRINTUK are specialists in low volume production using state-of-the-art powder bed fusion (PBF) 3D printing systems with polymer materials. The company bridges the void that exists between prototyping and injection moulding, such that if tooling costs are prohibitively expensive for an application that does not require the volume demanded by injection moulding, 3DPRINTUK can provide a high quality, cost-effective and fast solution.
3DPRINTUK has mastered the process of 3D printing with polymer powders, with no need for support material, virtually no layer lines and short turnaround times. The company is an ideal partner for producing one-off prototypes through to production runs of tens of thousands of parts — on demand.

T.J. Davies' Retention Knobs

Our retention knobs are manufactured above international standards or to machine builder specifications. Retention knobs are manufactured utilizing AMS-6274/AISI-8620 alloy steel drawn in the United States. Threads are single-pointed on our lathes while manufacturing all other retention knob features to ensure high concentricity. Our process ensures that our threads are balanced (lead in/lead out at 180 degrees.) Each retention knob is carburized (hardened) to 58-62HRC, and case depth is .020-.030. Core hardness 40HRC. Each retention knob is coated utilizing a hot black oxide coating to military specifications. Our retention knobs are 100% covered in black oxide to prevent rust. All retention knob surfaces (not just mating surfaces) have a precision finish of 32 RMA micro or better: ISO grade 6N. Each retention knob is magnetic particle tested and tested at 2.5 times the pulling force of the drawbar. Certifications are maintained for each step in the manufacturing process for traceability.
