Celebrating its 50th year in plastics machinery Wilmington Machinery continues to be a leader in Low Pressure Structural Foam Molding Machinery and High-Speed Rotary Blow Molding.

INJECTION MOLDING:
Demand for Low Pressure Injection Molding machinery is strong. Wilmington has continued to find new applications for vertical structural foam presses. The vertical press allows for the installation of nearly 2 machines in the footprint of one traditional horizontal press. With the platens parallel to the floor mold changes are quick and easy.

Wilmington's line of General-Purpose Structural Foam Machines has had a major overhaul with new elevated designs. The elevated design allows for large overhanging molds to clear the floor and part removal under the platen. The updated controls package offers large touch screens with configurable split screens, multi-function trend analysis screens that can be customized, and OEM trends that can be selected to monitor the process. With the addition of our remote connectivity trouble shooting and 24/7 support is a breeze.

The versatility of Low-Pressure Structural Foam machines continues to be used with our integrated gas assist controls as well as Wilmington's redesigned structural web nozzles to channel the gas where needed.

Wilmington has also had great success helping molders transition multiple high-pressure molds to run together in one large platen (up to 108" x 186") low pressure injection molding machine utilizing the nitrogen gas to reduce part densities and save on cycle times and raw materials.

With the Wilmington quick die change packages, molders can use integrated hydraulic die clamp controls and magnetic platens to reduce downtime

Wilmington Machinery is also expanding its lab/trial capabilities with a new LUMINA 2400HE. The 2400HE has 500 tons of clamping force with an 80" x 70" platen and will be equipped to trial gas assist, structural web, gas counter pressure, and high-pressure molds looking to make the switch to lower density structural foam. The lab is available to those looking to trial new materials, additives, fillers, compounds, molds or just experimentation. Please contact sales@wilmingtonmachinery.com to schedule time today.

FLIR Si1-LD - Industrial Acoustic Imaging Camera for Compressed Air Leak Detection

The FLIR Si1-LD is an easy-to-use acoustic imaging camera for locating and quantifying pressurized leaks in compressed air systems. This lightweight, one-handed camera is designed to help maintenance, manufacturing, and engineering professionals identify air leaks faster than with traditional methods. Built with a carefully constructed array of MEMS microphones for high sensitivity, the Si1-LD produces a precise acoustic image that visually displays ultrasonic information, even in loud, industrial environments. The acoustic image is overlaid in real time on a digital image, allowing you to accurately pinpoint the source of the sound, with onboard analytics which quantify the losses being incurred. The Si1-LD features a plugin that enables you to import acoustic images to FLIR Thermal Studio suite for offline editing, analysis, and advanced report creation. Field analysis and reporting can also be done using the FLIR Acoustic Camera Viewer cloud service. Transferring of images can be managed via memory stick or USB data cable. Through a regular maintenance routine, the FLIR Si1-LD can help facilities reduce their environmental impact and save money on utility bills.
