PCTEL Announces 5-Port LTE Multiband Antenna for Fixed Industrial IoT Deployments

“The antenna’s ultra-broadband technology also supports LTE-Advanced carrier aggregation and delivers superior 4x4 MIMO performance for asset management, video communications, and other applications that require high data capacity”

PCTEL, Inc. (Nasdaq: PCTI), a leading provider of antennas and test and measurement solutions for the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), announced, at the UTC Telecom & Technology Conference, a new LTE multiband antenna that helps boost data rates and reliability for utility networks. PCTEL's 5-port base station omnidirectional antenna (BOA) is designed for fixed public and private LTE and industrial IoT network deployments. It supports multi-carrier connectivity and is ideal for network failover to mitigate downtime in smart grids and other mission critical applications.

"PCTEL's latest antenna will enable the future of the IIoT for our Utilities customers. For example, advanced smart grids utilizing our antenna could reduce outages and efficiently manage alternative energy sources," said Rishi Bharadwaj, PCTEL's Chief Operating Officer. "The antenna's ultra-broadband technology also supports LTE-Advanced carrier aggregation and delivers superior 4x4 MIMO performance for asset management, video communications, and other applications that require high data capacity," added Bharadwaj.

This is the latest in PCTEL's field-proven BOA antenna series, deployed in a variety of fixed IIoT applications around the world. The new antenna features:

Multiple network compatibility
Four (4) broadband ports supporting LTE, LTE-Advanced, LTE-M, NB-IoT, 2G/3G cellular, Wi-Fi, and private wireless technologies
One (1) GPS/GLONASS port with PCTEL's unique high rejection GNSS technology for network timing and tracking
PCTEL will display its new LTE multiband antenna June 19th and 20th at UTC Telecom & Technology Conference booth 206 in Fort Worth, Texas. It is available now to order using part # BOA-LCMGPS-PTNF-4LTE.

Dynatect Automated Machine Safety Roll-Up Doors

Dynatect Automated Machine Safety Roll-Up Doors

Need to increase safety? Are you using light curtains? Is space a concern? Dynatect's Gortite® VF Automated Machine Safety Door combines safety technology, speed, and a physical barrier to isolate hazardous operations. Use of a physical barrier with safety sensors can save up to 30 square feet of manufacturing space. Using the ANSI minimum safety distance formula, the Gortite® VF Door limits the depth penetration factor and average approach speed, allowing closer location of the safeguarding device. Unlike light curtains, which can't contain process hazards, an automated machine safety door can isolate common workplace debris. This physical barrier is designed to contain process driven hazards such as weld sparks, UV flash, and light debris. Thus, the operator can maintain closer proximity to the work area improving ergonomics and productivity.
