Reedsburg, WI: Renegade Parts Washers and Detergents today released a special industrial manufacturers report entitled "Legacy Parts Washer Equipment: Important Factors That Affect Your Decision to Upgrade Today" describing the main factors to consider when replacing or upgrading legacy parts washer equipment.
Aging manufacturing equipment, including industrial parts washers, continues to be a challenge to maintaining operational effectiveness. Parts washers can be designated as either outmoded or "Legacy" in their status, as they outlive their efficient usefulness.
The evolution of modern aqueous parts washers is the result of technological innovation in operation and functionality for a wide range of industrial applications. In production process operations, cleanliness of parts and components is directly related to quality and reliability of the final product.
The information contained in the Renegade Parts Washers white paper is useful to a wide variety of aqueous cleaning industrial categories such as Automobile Repair Facilities, Boat Dealers, Bicycle Repair, Fabrication Parts Cleaning, Machine Shops, Production Engine Shops, Production Machining Facilities, Re-manufacturing Facilities, Small Engine Repair, or Transmission Machine Shops, up to heavy-duty, large scale cleaning applications that include Aviation, Aircraft, Truck, Transit, Rail, and Transportation Production Centers.
The white paper from Renegade Parts Washers and Detergents, entitled "Legacy Parts Washer Equipment: Important Factors That Affect Your Decision to Upgrade Today", explores:
• In manufacturing operations, parts washers are an important step in the production process.
• Cleanliness of parts and components relates directly to product quality and reliability.
• Aging industrial equipment is designated "legacy" when it outlives efficient usefulness.
• Beyond Breakeven: Factors that affect cost of operation include lower direct labor, improved reliability, improved component quality, environmental effectiveness, and safety.
• Technical Overview: Automatic aqueous parts washers provide solvent-free cleaning for a wide variety of industrial applications.
• General repair or production process cleaning industrial applications.
• Aqueous parts washers to fit industrial categories.
• Recent innovations in part washer operation, functionality and effectiveness.
• Education is the key to selecting the right industrial parts washer system.

T.J. Davies' Retention Knobs
Our retention knobs are manufactured above international standards or to machine builder specifications. Retention knobs are manufactured utilizing AMS-6274/AISI-8620 alloy steel drawn in the United States. Threads are single-pointed on our lathes while manufacturing all other retention knob features to ensure high concentricity. Our process ensures that our threads are balanced (lead in/lead out at 180 degrees.) Each retention knob is carburized (hardened) to 58-62HRC, and case depth is .020-.030. Core hardness 40HRC. Each retention knob is coated utilizing a hot black oxide coating to military specifications. Our retention knobs are 100% covered in black oxide to prevent rust. All retention knob surfaces (not just mating surfaces) have a precision finish of 32 RMA micro or better: ISO grade 6N. Each retention knob is magnetic particle tested and tested at 2.5 times the pulling force of the drawbar. Certifications are maintained for each step in the manufacturing process for traceability.
