Smart Factory + Automation World 2019: Experience the Manufacturing Industry’s Digital Revolution

Korea's largest events center, Coex, to be transformed into ‘future-smart factory' for 3-day exhibition in March

March 11th 2019, SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA - The ‘Smart Factory + Automation World 2019' exhibition at

Coex in Seoul will see three of Korea's largest and leading industry trade shows come together for a three-day automation-themed extravaganza.

Smart Factory Expo and Automation World, held at Coex in Gangnam from March 27th to 29th, includes the
trade shows Smart Factory Expo, aimex (Industrial Automation, Instrumentation & Measurement
Exhibition), and the Korea Vision Show.

While Smart Factory Expo offers visitors the chance to explore smart factory solution products and brands,
AIMEX will display the latest global trends in sensors, motion control, industrial computers, and more. The
Korea Vision Show provides a platform for companies in the industrial camera, lense, and processing
software market.

Spearheading global industry trends, Smart Factory + Automation World 2019 will include a ‘Smart Factory Model Pavilion' themed showcasing state-of-the-art convergence between smart factory and 5G technologies. Industry leaders, Siemens, Rockwell, and Hyundai Heavy Industries, will also release new products and technologies at the show.

Smart Factory + Automation World 2018 welcomed 481 exhibiting companies across 1,400 booths, and
almost 30,000 buyers and visitors. This year, the event is going to occupy the whole halls of COEX with 100
more exhibitors than last year and is expected to attract 480 exhibitors and 37,000 buyers worldwide.
Smart Factory + Automation World 2019 also sees the concurrent hosting of the annual Smart Factory
Conference.

The expo is jointly coordinated by the Korea Smart Factory Foundation, Coex, Chomdan Inc., the Korean
Smart Manufacturing Industry Association, Korea Machine Vision Industry Association, Iomedia, and the
Korean Sensors Society.

T.J. Davies' Retention Knobs

Our retention knobs are manufactured above international standards or to machine builder specifications. Retention knobs are manufactured utilizing AMS-6274/AISI-8620 alloy steel drawn in the United States. Threads are single-pointed on our lathes while manufacturing all other retention knob features to ensure high concentricity. Our process ensures that our threads are balanced (lead in/lead out at 180 degrees.) Each retention knob is carburized (hardened) to 58-62HRC, and case depth is .020-.030. Core hardness 40HRC. Each retention knob is coated utilizing a hot black oxide coating to military specifications. Our retention knobs are 100% covered in black oxide to prevent rust. All retention knob surfaces (not just mating surfaces) have a precision finish of 32 RMA micro or better: ISO grade 6N. Each retention knob is magnetic particle tested and tested at 2.5 times the pulling force of the drawbar. Certifications are maintained for each step in the manufacturing process for traceability.
