CWIEME to hold Americas relaunch event November 15, 2018

CHICAGO, IL — Following the postponement of CWIEME Chicago 2018, new owner ITE Group has announced the rebranding of the conference and exhibition as CWIEME Americas and is holding a relaunch event, focused on networking and education, at the Hyatt Regency Chicago hotel on November 15, 2018.

Loyal CWIEME Chicago attendees and exhibitors are invited to join the CWIEME team at an exclusive relaunch of the leading conference and trade show for electric motor, generator and transformer manufacturing.

The relaunch event, to be held from 3pm on November 15 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago hotel, will reveal new owner ITE Groups exciting plans for the transformation of CWIEME Chicago, rebranded as CWIEME Americas. Members of the CWIEME team, who attendees and exhibitors are used to working with, will be on hand to answer questions and provide some familiarity and reassurance during this period of change.

The change of name to CWIEME Americas reflects the wider appeal of the event to participants from the rest of the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Latin America, as well as ITEs ambitions for the expansion of CWIEME in the Americas.

ITE Group has embarked on a significant program of investment in CWIEME Americas 2019, with the aim of supporting manufacturers and suppliers to achieve considerable growth over the long term.

"The U.S. production market for electric motors, transformers and generators (EMTG) is the second-largest globally. Add in Canada, Mexico and Latin America and we see enormous potential for CWIEME Americas to become a global meetingplace for those in the automotive, construction, HVAC and power generation industries," said Alison Jackson, managing director for CWIEME.

The CWIEME Americas 2019 launch event will also add value to participants through the opportunity to network and a series of short industry talks and panel discussions, providing expert guidance on the latest technology trends, business analysis and market developments. The insight and connections the agenda promotes aim to spark new opportunities for growth, development and collaboration.

Industry gamechangers
Speakers will include Daniel Saban, chief engineer at electric aviation pioneer Zunum Aero, on opportunities for electric motor designers, manufacturers and component suppliers in the aerospace sector; Anderson Pacheco, staff manufacturing engineer at Tesla, on meeting cost and lead time pressures in e-mobility; and Saqib Saeed, principal analyst at Power Technology Research, on the market drivers boosting the North American power generation and transformer industries.

The CWIEME Americas 2019 launch event is free to attend but places are strictly limited to 60 people with a maximum of three participants per company. Tickets will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

"Were not simply content for CWIEME to be the leading exhibition and tradeshow for electric motors, generators and transformers in the Americas; we want to put CWIEME Americas 2019 on the global stage and deliver a truly outstanding event that is key to doing business in this industry," Jackson said. "We look forward to welcoming friends and colleagues to the CWIEME Americas launch event next month as we kick off our transformation journey."

FLIR Si1-LD - Industrial Acoustic Imaging Camera for Compressed Air Leak Detection

FLIR Si1-LD - Industrial Acoustic Imaging Camera for Compressed Air Leak Detection

The FLIR Si1-LD is an easy-to-use acoustic imaging camera for locating and quantifying pressurized leaks in compressed air systems. This lightweight, one-handed camera is designed to help maintenance, manufacturing, and engineering professionals identify air leaks faster than with traditional methods. Built with a carefully constructed array of MEMS microphones for high sensitivity, the Si1-LD produces a precise acoustic image that visually displays ultrasonic information, even in loud, industrial environments. The acoustic image is overlaid in real time on a digital image, allowing you to accurately pinpoint the source of the sound, with onboard analytics which quantify the losses being incurred. The Si1-LD features a plugin that enables you to import acoustic images to FLIR Thermal Studio suite for offline editing, analysis, and advanced report creation. Field analysis and reporting can also be done using the FLIR Acoustic Camera Viewer cloud service. Transferring of images can be managed via memory stick or USB data cable. Through a regular maintenance routine, the FLIR Si1-LD can help facilities reduce their environmental impact and save money on utility bills.
