Another Xometry Manufacturing Partner Earns $1 Million Through the On-Demand Platform

San Jose, CA-based PT&R, Inc. is the second Manufacturing Partner to have reached this milestone, and the first to reach it in under 12 months.

GAITHERSBURG, Md., Feb. 13, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Xometry, the on-demand manufacturing platform, announced today that another member of its Manufacturing Partner Network has earned $1 million in revenue from the Xometry platform. San Jose, CA-based PT&R, Inc. is the second Manufacturing Partner to have reached this milestone, and the first to reach it in under 12 months.

"We're incredibly proud to have delivered $1 million in revenue to two separate U.S-based manufacturers in such a short time," said Xometry CEO, Randy Altschuler. "Xometry is making it easy for small and medium-sized manufacturers to do custom manufacturing jobs for customers across the nation, and we are thrilled to see Partners like PT&R reach this level of success through our platform."

Xometry's technology platform allows customers to easily quote and order custom manufactured parts online across a multitude of manufacturing processes, including CNC Machining, 3D Printing, Sheet Metal Fabrication and Injection Molding. The parts are then sourced through over 900 vetted manufacturers like PT&R across the United States, who comprise the Xometry Partner Network. There is no cost for manufacturers to join the Partner Network and they can choose to accept only the jobs they want.

"Xometry provides us with a steady stream of jobs that ensure our machines are always running at capacity. We're able to take a wide variety of work from a wide variety of industries, which allows us to diversify our skill-set and remain competitive. We also appreciate their prompt on-time payment," said Chau Nguyen, General Manager of PT&R.

For manufacturers, access to jobs outside of their typical ecosystem opens up the possibility for business growth, increased revenue and better forecasting. The Xometry Partner Network is open to all US-based manufacturers, though membership is limited based on a thorough vetting and approval process.

This milestone is reflective of Xometry's rapid growth since its founding in 2014. Xometry has more than 8,000 customers spanning multiple verticals including aerospace, automotive, electronics & semiconductors, medical devices, industrials, and consumer products. Customers include brands such as BMW, General Electric and 32% of the Fortune 100.
