CADavenue, The CAD Engineering Company Is Taking It To the Next Level With More AutoCAD®-Like Commands, 64 Bit Processing and New Ribbon Interface

AViCAD is excited to announce their new major CAD software release called AViCAD 2017. AViCAD is a 2D/3D CAD application with integrated Engineering Tools which provides a low cost alternative to other CAD packages.

Today AViCAD released a 64-bit CAD engineering program called AViCAD 2017. The new version takes advantage of multicore computers with Windows 64 bit processing, which allows CAD files to be opened, saved and viewed 1.5 to 3 times faster than with previous 32-bit only versions.


AViCADs new version will also include similar workspaces as found within AutoCAD®. The newly updated software will include a new Windows Ribbon-Style top menu, which is provides a familiar navigation bar also found in Microsoft Office® and Autodesk® products. The Ribbon includes a series of tabs, which are organized into panels containing many of the CAD tools contained within previous AViCAD releases. Users who prefer working with the old classic toolbar style can easily hide or unhide the new ribbon if required.

AViCAD 2017 also allows users to import 3D point clouds which are scanned images created by 3D laser scanners. A set of data points and their 3D coordinates will appear within the drawing after importing the cloud file. 3D point clouds are using by engineers in order to check for any interference issues within their project.

A completely revamped AUTOCOMPLETE function, improved activation dialogues, new dynamic block handling, advanced grips for polyline and hatch and overlay support are also a part of this new version. In addition significantly improved commands such as LOFT, PURGE and QSELECT as well as DWF printing and DWF/DWFx to DWG conversion have been added plus many other valuable new features too numerous to list here.

Additionally, AViCADs has built-in Mech-Q engineering tools, these include Piping, Structural, Ducting and Mechanical. Since the AViCAD 2016 release last Spring, many improvements and enhancements have occurred including a major update to both Piping and Ducting modules.
