Maplesoft is now a SOLIDWORKS® Solutions Partner
Easy integration of Maple and MapleSim CAD Toolbox with SOLIDWORKS
Waterloo, Canada, 14 April 2016: Maplesoft today announced that it has now become a Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks Certified Solutions Partner. This is a progression of the relationship between the two companies that has already enabled engineers to connect Maple and MapleSim, with SOLIDWORKS, a solid modeling computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided engineering (CAE) program.
By importing multibody CAD models from SOLIDWORKS into Maplesofts modeling and simulation platform, MapleSim, users can automatically capture the kinematic and kinetic properties of the model components. They can also evaluate how mechanical CAD models will behave as part of a larger, multidomain system, and apply MapleSim's advanced analysis tools to improve and optimize designs.
"SOLIDWORKS Partner Products are tools and applications that will help our customers extend the power and utility of their SOLIDWORKS solutions," said Nicholas Iwaskow, Director, Alliances & Partnerships, SOLIDWORKS. "It can help bring innovative, quality products to market more efficiently and cost-effectively. We are excited to welcome Maplesoft and its products to this prestigious group, which aims to help our customers design innovative products, and achieve development goals."
"We are pleased to solidify our relationship with SOLIDWOKS by being recognized as a certified Solutions Partner," said Samir Khan, Product Manager, Maple. "Integration of our products will provide users a strong connection between the engineering knowledge and the final applications, so the understanding behind the application is preserved, the process is validated, and changes are easily made. Customers will see improved productivity and significant savings in time."

FLIR Si1-LD - Industrial Acoustic Imaging Camera for Compressed Air Leak Detection
The FLIR Si1-LD is an easy-to-use acoustic imaging camera for locating and quantifying pressurized leaks in compressed air systems. This lightweight, one-handed camera is designed to help maintenance, manufacturing, and engineering professionals identify air leaks faster than with traditional methods. Built with a carefully constructed array of MEMS microphones for high sensitivity, the Si1-LD produces a precise acoustic image that visually displays ultrasonic information, even in loud, industrial environments. The acoustic image is overlaid in real time on a digital image, allowing you to accurately pinpoint the source of the sound, with onboard analytics which quantify the losses being incurred. The Si1-LD features a plugin that enables you to import acoustic images to FLIR Thermal Studio suite for offline editing, analysis, and advanced report creation. Field analysis and reporting can also be done using the FLIR Acoustic Camera Viewer cloud service. Transferring of images can be managed via memory stick or USB data cable. Through a regular maintenance routine, the FLIR Si1-LD can help facilities reduce their environmental impact and save money on utility bills.
