ATX West - Trinseo Announces Expanded Custom Medical Compounding Offering in Asia during MD&M West Medically-Equivalent CALIBRE™ Polycarbonate Resins Production and Fulfillment Model Available to Meet Growing Global Market Demand
This new production and fulfillment model features custom medical compounding in Asia Pacific to expand existing medical compounding in North America and Europe.
Berwyn, PA - February 9, 2016 -- Trinseo (NYSE: TSE), the global materials company and manufacturer of plastics, latex binders and synthetic rubber, will introduce its model for global production and fulfillment of its CALIBRE™ Polycarbonate Resins at MD&M West, Anaheim, California from February 9 to 11, 2016 at Booth 818, Hall E.
This new production and fulfillment model features custom medical compounding in Asia Pacific to expand existing medical compounding in North America and Europe. These facilities are sourced with polycarbonate base resins from Trinseos highest quality, medically-equivalent resins produced in Germany and also by its joint venture partner, Sumika Styron Polycarbonate Limited, in Japan.

These materials address some of the industrys critical challenges, including the need for home health care, point of care devices, drug delivery, and wearable devices.
During MD&M West, Trinseo will also announce results from its recent collaboration with Henkel Corporation, the world market leader in adhesives, sealants and functional coatings. Henkel and Trinseo tested the compatibility of various Trinseo plastics and Henkel adhesives and found that when used together the materials optimize application assembly.

T.J. Davies' Retention Knobs
Our retention knobs are manufactured above international standards or to machine builder specifications. Retention knobs are manufactured utilizing AMS-6274/AISI-8620 alloy steel drawn in the United States. Threads are single-pointed on our lathes while manufacturing all other retention knob features to ensure high concentricity. Our process ensures that our threads are balanced (lead in/lead out at 180 degrees.) Each retention knob is carburized (hardened) to 58-62HRC, and case depth is .020-.030. Core hardness 40HRC. Each retention knob is coated utilizing a hot black oxide coating to military specifications. Our retention knobs are 100% covered in black oxide to prevent rust. All retention knob surfaces (not just mating surfaces) have a precision finish of 32 RMA micro or better: ISO grade 6N. Each retention knob is magnetic particle tested and tested at 2.5 times the pulling force of the drawbar. Certifications are maintained for each step in the manufacturing process for traceability.
