HP and MoviĜo Robotics launch new mobile robot for the Print Industry Cewe Germany is launching customer for ‘Ŝharko5 Hammerhead’

The new Ŝharko5HH is designed as a modular robot based on the MoviĜo Robotics platform technology that was launched in June 2024, with the Ŝharko5HP(B2 Pallet). This platform allows Ŝharkos to be equipped with customised forks. The flexible approach allows print shops to use an autonomous mobile robot that fits their various types of trolleys and roll containers.

Haarlem, The Netherlands - October 15, 2025 — HP and MoviĜo Robotics are launching their second autonomous mobile robot (amr) designed for the Printing Industry. The Ŝharko5 Hammerhead is equipped with one custom sized fork and is designed to transport carts and trolleys of all sizes that are used on the printshop floor. The Ŝharko5HH (Hammerhead) is already operational at Cewe Germany and commercially available.

The flexible approach allows print shops to use an autonomous mobile robot that fits their various types of trolleys and roll containers.

The Ŝharko5 Hammerhead can be deployed as part of the INDI solution. A system specially designed to communicate with HP Indigo Presses and allow integration between press and robot. Combined with the Ŝharko5 and Ŝharko5 Hammerhead autonomous mobile robots, the solution handles transportation throughout any Print Shop, saving manual labor and streamlining workflow while keeping the presses continuously operational.

"We saw how we could benefit from automating certain cycles in our production logistics processes in our facility," says Mr. Frank Schulz, Technical Lead at Cewe Germany. "Working with HP/MoviĜo Robotics led to a plan for deploying the new Ŝharko5 Hammerhead in a fully automated process of moving our trolleys and pallets through production."

"The Ŝharko5 Hammerhead fills the gap of moving materials across the production floor on other carriers than pallets, such as carts, trolleys and roll containers", says Diego Diaz, Global Product Manager Autonomous Press and Robotics at HP Indigo. "We are proud to launch a monofork AMR, built for the INDI platform as the next step towards HP's road to the Autonomous Press."
"We aim to offer the print industry a complete solution for production logistics, where mobile robots are integrated with presses and finishers. The solution is managed from one control system that is set up to support the customers' own business processes.", says Paul van der Hulst, CEO of MoviĜo Robotics.
