A-Gas Enhances Refrigerant Management with Rapid Exchange® Services
On-site cylinder exchange service offers new cylinders with refrigerant buyback options
A-Gas, a world leader in environmentally responsible lifecycle refrigerant management, is proud to highlight its Rapid Exchange® service, designed to streamline the refrigerant recovery process for HVACR professionals, contractors, and businesses nationwide.
The Rapid Exchange® on-site cylinder swap program offers a seamless solution for exchanging recovery cylinders. It ensures that customers receive clean, vacuumed, and in-date DOT-certified cylinders without the hassle of deposits, freight charges, or unexpected fees. With the one-for-one cylinder exchange, customers can easily participate in A-Gas' refrigerant buyback program with the most competitive buyback rates in the industry while receiving comprehensive EPA documentation.
Rapid Exchange® makes getting new, clean recovery cylinders easy. EPA-certified technicians visit customer locations to facilitate the exchange process. A-Gas handles the swapping of cylinders of all sizes, ensuring customers always have access to refrigerant recovery cylinders. Following the swap, A-Gas sends a check for the recovered refrigerants, offering financial benefits. "Our Rapid Exchange® service is designed to simplify the refrigerant recovery process," said Brad Williams, Network Sales Director for A-Gas Rapid Recovery and Rapid Exchange services. "Contractors and HVACR professionals can trade their full refrigerant recovery cylinders for new ones without fees and access A-Gas' refrigerant buyback program, all while participating in the circular economy."
Rapid Exchange® plays a crucial role in promoting circular business practices within the HVACR industry. After cylinders are swapped, the recovered refrigerant is sent to an A-Gas facility where it is reclaimed to AHRI-700 specifications before re-entering the supply chain. When refrigerants can no longer be re-processed, they are safely destroyed using proprietary PyroPlas® technology, which boasts a guaranteed destruction efficiency of 99.9999%.
The Rapid Exchange® service is an extension of A-Gas' Rapid Recovery® on-site refrigerant recovery service, where EPA-certified technicians will go to a customer's location to recover refrigerant directly from systems at up to ten times the speed of traditional recovery equipment.
By providing reliable and efficient refrigerant management, A-Gas supports a wide range of industries in maintaining environmentally responsible practices. Rapid Exchange also addresses the growing concern over counterfeit recovery cylinders by providing customers with DOT-certified refrigerant recovery cylinders, ensuring safe recovery and transport.

FLIR Si1-LD - Industrial Acoustic Imaging Camera for Compressed Air Leak Detection
The FLIR Si1-LD is an easy-to-use acoustic imaging camera for locating and quantifying pressurized leaks in compressed air systems. This lightweight, one-handed camera is designed to help maintenance, manufacturing, and engineering professionals identify air leaks faster than with traditional methods. Built with a carefully constructed array of MEMS microphones for high sensitivity, the Si1-LD produces a precise acoustic image that visually displays ultrasonic information, even in loud, industrial environments. The acoustic image is overlaid in real time on a digital image, allowing you to accurately pinpoint the source of the sound, with onboard analytics which quantify the losses being incurred. The Si1-LD features a plugin that enables you to import acoustic images to FLIR Thermal Studio suite for offline editing, analysis, and advanced report creation. Field analysis and reporting can also be done using the FLIR Acoustic Camera Viewer cloud service. Transferring of images can be managed via memory stick or USB data cable. Through a regular maintenance routine, the FLIR Si1-LD can help facilities reduce their environmental impact and save money on utility bills.
