Toronto, ON, September 21, 2023 - The Canadian manufacturing sector will get a glimpse into the future next week as more than 8,000 industry professionals convene in Toronto for four days of technology transfer, learning opportunities and idea generation at the Canadian Manufacturing Technology Show (CMTS) 2023 - Canada's national manufacturing event at its new venue, the Toronto Congress Centre.

Alongside 200+ new products to be unveiled and more than one million pounds of live equipment on the show floor, visitors will have the opportunity to hear from the following keynote speakers about how the next level of digital transformation is reimagining Canadian manufacturing.

9:00 a.m. - Unleashing the Power of (G)AI in Manufacturing: Chris Casey, Industrial Manufacturing & Automotive Sector Lead at PwC Canada and Michael Gardiner, Manufacturing Industry Lead at Microsoft Canada, will key in on how mere months after generative AI hit the media spotlight, it's already requiring businesses to question how work can be done differently. They will provide insight into what is top of mind for leadership teams and Board members across the industry and examples of how manufacturers can transform.
1:00 p.m. - Staying Ahead of the Curve with Industry 5.0, ESG, and Workforce Upskilling: This panel - moderated by Subo Chatterjee, Partner, PwC Canada Digital Operations & Industry 5.0, and featuring Nadia Malik, Transformation Head (Cost Reduction & Digital Innovation), Bombardier, and Michael Gardiner, Manufacturing Industry Lead, Microsoft Canada - will delve into the critical drivers for the evolution of Ind 5.0 and how organizations evolve with Ind 4.0 while meeting their ESG commitments.
