Baltimore Aircoil Company to Showcase Leading Cooling Tower Solutions for the Steel Industry at AISTech 2023
Visit BAC's exhibit at booth #2017 to learn more about its high-performance solutions.
Jessup, MD - Baltimore Aircoil Company (BAC), the global leader in modular evaporative cooling equipment, will showcase its innovative suite of modular cooling technology for the steel industry at AISTech 2023 from May 8th to 11th at Huntington Place in Detroit, Michigan. Visit BAC's exhibit at booth #2017 to learn more about its high-performance solutions.
At the conference, BAC's Kevin Deliman will join the AIST Board of Directors, where he looks forward to contributing his strategic insights to the organization. Deliman currently sits on the AIST Environmental Technology Committee and the AIST Project and Construction Management Technology Committee.
BAC will showcase at its booth the reliability, redundancy, and modularity of wet surface air coolers for applications such as hybrid cooling, process gas cooling, and hydrocarbon condensing. Among its suite of products, the series 5000 and 3000 Cooling Towers will be prominently highlighted. The Series 3000 specifically serves non-contact water, while the Series 5000 serves contact water. These products provide maximum uptime in demanding clean and dirty water applications and also feature high reliability, and ease of inspection and maintenance.
Other products that will be featured at BAC's booth include the FXV Closed Circuit Cooling Tower. This product offers advanced coil technology designed to maintain efficiency by minimizing fouling on tubes. It also uses less energy due to its high-efficiency design. The TriArmor® Corrosion Protection System will also be available to view, which has proven its corrosion and leak protection for the cold-water basin across thousands of cooling towers installed.

T.J. Davies' Retention Knobs
Our retention knobs are manufactured above international standards or to machine builder specifications. Retention knobs are manufactured utilizing AMS-6274/AISI-8620 alloy steel drawn in the United States. Threads are single-pointed on our lathes while manufacturing all other retention knob features to ensure high concentricity. Our process ensures that our threads are balanced (lead in/lead out at 180 degrees.) Each retention knob is carburized (hardened) to 58-62HRC, and case depth is .020-.030. Core hardness 40HRC. Each retention knob is coated utilizing a hot black oxide coating to military specifications. Our retention knobs are 100% covered in black oxide to prevent rust. All retention knob surfaces (not just mating surfaces) have a precision finish of 32 RMA micro or better: ISO grade 6N. Each retention knob is magnetic particle tested and tested at 2.5 times the pulling force of the drawbar. Certifications are maintained for each step in the manufacturing process for traceability.
