Daifuku North America to host two educational seminars at ProMat 2017

Wynright, a wholly owned subsidiary of Daifuku North America Holding Company, will be hosting two educational seminars at the upcoming ProMat show from April 3-6, 2017 at Chicagos McCormick Place.

ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Ill (March 7, 2017) - Wynright, a wholly owned subsidiary of Daifuku North America Holding Company, will be hosting two educational seminars at the upcoming ProMat show from April 3-6, 2017 at Chicagos McCormick Place.

The seminar on ‘The Convergence of Warehouse Execution Systems (WES) and Automation will be led by Randy Marble, VP of Software Strategy and Chris Capshaw, Sr. Vice President Solutions. The seminar will define the concept of WES, and how companies use a combination of many systems to solve their traditional and Omni-Channel distribution requirements. The focus will be on the importance of developing an overall strategy to leverage WES, and how linking modern technologies into WES such as SCADA, Robotics, etc. can solve supply chain challenges with solutions providing the greatest ROI and highest efficiencies possible.

Talking about the seminar, Randy Marble explains "We want the seminar to teach people that it takes several disparate technologies and software programs to make up the ultimate solution for any given circumstance. There is no one-stop shop for a complex distribution situation".

The second seminar is entitled ‘Extend the Life of Your Aging Material Handling Assets and will look at how implementing an engineering-based support and modernization approach can maximize savings and reduce risks where aging equipment is involved. Much of the equipment installed in warehouses and distributions centers through the 1990s and 2000s is beginning to show age and approach End-of-Life (EOL) or End-of-Service (EOS). In many warehouses, downtime is increasing and cost pressures are driving warehouse managers to try to squeeze maximum performance from existing and aging assets. This strategy may deliver short term cost savings, but increases the risk to sustainable success.

Wynrights John Leonard, Director, Client Asset Modernization, and John Dillon, Senior VP Client Care, will explain the reasons why it is necessary to invest in existing assets and what options to consider when upgrading them to maximize savings and reduce risks.

Daifuku North America will be exhibiting their Solutions and Technologies in Booth S2603. The WES seminar will be held on Monday, April 3, and the Assets seminar on Tuesday, April 4, both starting at 10:30am in Theatre E. T.J. Davies' Retention Knobs

Our retention knobs are manufactured above international standards or to machine builder specifications. Retention knobs are manufactured utilizing AMS-6274/AISI-8620 alloy steel drawn in the United States. Threads are single-pointed on our lathes while manufacturing all other retention knob features to ensure high concentricity. Our process ensures that our threads are balanced (lead in/lead out at 180 degrees.) Each retention knob is carburized (hardened) to 58-62HRC, and case depth is .020-.030. Core hardness 40HRC. Each retention knob is coated utilizing a hot black oxide coating to military specifications. Our retention knobs are 100% covered in black oxide to prevent rust. All retention knob surfaces (not just mating surfaces) have a precision finish of 32 RMA micro or better: ISO grade 6N. Each retention knob is magnetic particle tested and tested at 2.5 times the pulling force of the drawbar. Certifications are maintained for each step in the manufacturing process for traceability.
