Opto Diode Introduces Near-Infrared, Surface-Mount

New NXIR-RF100C near-infrared SMD photodiodes will be showcased at SPIEs Photonics West 2017, San Francisco, Jan. 31- Feb. 2 in Opto Diodes booth # 5628.

CAMARILLO, CA - January 30, 2017 - Opto Diode Corporation, an ITW company, introduces the NXIR-RF100C, a red and near-infrared (NIR) enhanced, reduced-footprint, surface-mount device (SMD) photodiode. Designed for a wide variety of applications, the new photodetector has spectral response from 320 to 1100 nm and can be used for laser-monitoring, rain, and sun-sensor applications. The rugged package is designed specifically for environments requiring extended temperature range from -40 °C to +125 °C and has an anti-reflective (AR) coated window that provides greater than 98 percent transmission. The new SMD expands the companys popular high-performance, through-hole photodiode packages, allowing designers to reduce space and cost.

The NXIR-RF100C has an active area of 1 mm2 in a small 3 mm x 3.5 mm surface-mount package. The new device has high responsivity of 0.62 A/W @ 850 nm and 0.35 A/W @ 1064 nm. It also has low capacitance of 3 pico-farads (pF) at 0 volts, high shunt resistance, greater than 200 MΩ, and very low dark current at 0.1nA. Opto Diodes NXIR-RF100C detectors are available in high volume on tape and reel.

FLIR Si1-LD - Industrial Acoustic Imaging Camera for Compressed Air Leak Detection

FLIR Si1-LD - Industrial Acoustic Imaging Camera for Compressed Air Leak Detection

The FLIR Si1-LD is an easy-to-use acoustic imaging camera for locating and quantifying pressurized leaks in compressed air systems. This lightweight, one-handed camera is designed to help maintenance, manufacturing, and engineering professionals identify air leaks faster than with traditional methods. Built with a carefully constructed array of MEMS microphones for high sensitivity, the Si1-LD produces a precise acoustic image that visually displays ultrasonic information, even in loud, industrial environments. The acoustic image is overlaid in real time on a digital image, allowing you to accurately pinpoint the source of the sound, with onboard analytics which quantify the losses being incurred. The Si1-LD features a plugin that enables you to import acoustic images to FLIR Thermal Studio suite for offline editing, analysis, and advanced report creation. Field analysis and reporting can also be done using the FLIR Acoustic Camera Viewer cloud service. Transferring of images can be managed via memory stick or USB data cable. Through a regular maintenance routine, the FLIR Si1-LD can help facilities reduce their environmental impact and save money on utility bills.
