SLT and LASYS: Productive combination for experts and users

A strong team: Conference and trade fair again under one roof / Scientific and practical highlights from industrial laser technology

The Institut für Strahlwerkzeuge (IFSW) (Institute for Beam Tools) of the University of Stuttgart and Messe Stuttgart are once more creating ideal conditions for an effective transfer of knowledge at LASYS 2016. For also the ninth Stuttgart Laser Technology Forum (SLT) from 31 May to 1 June 2016 will take place in conjunction with the international trade fair for laser material processing.

The SLT will present highlights and innovations from the industrial application of laser technology and brings laser experts and users together at the ICS, the International Congress Center Stuttgart. In accordance with tradition, the congress will examine the themes of micro- and macro-processing, as well as the associated laser sources and beam guiding systems. In addition to the latest findings and current main areas of focus such as generative manufacture, the SLT will provide a look at the basic principles of laser material processing, with a view to possible new applications. In addition to this, contributions from industry will document the current state of development and the practical implementation of innovations.

For experts and users, the combination of SLT and LASYS creates ideal conditions for strengthening and expanding specialist knowledge on different levels, as well as for active networking. For example, at the end of the first day of the event, there will be the opportunity to visit the laboratories at the IFSW within the framework of a Swabian evening.

Registration for the SLT can be made at the following link: slt.emendo-emex.com/registration. There is an early-booker offer until 30 April.

About LASYS

As the only international trade fair, LASYS clearly focuses on system solutions in laser material processing. Since the start of the trade fair in 2008, it has successfully established itself as a user platform for the latest laser systems, machines and processes. LASYS addresses all industries and materials, in particular decision-makers from the international industry. The focus is on all tried-and-tested, but also innovative, manufacturing processes, applications and potential uses of laser in industrial manufacturing.
Other trade fairs are also taking place parallel to LASYS 2016 at the Stuttgart trade fair grounds, which create synergy effects for the visitors: the automotive shows with Automotive Testing Expo Europe, Engine Expo, Automotive Interiors Expo, Global Automotive Components and Suppliers Expo, and the Autonomous Vehicle Test & Development Symposium, as well as O&S, the international trade fair for surface treatments and coatings, and parts2clean, the leading international trade fair for industrial parts and surface cleaning.

The VDMA is a professional and conceptual supporter of LASYS.

LASYS takes place at the Stuttgart trade fair centre from 31 May to 2 June 2016. Further information is available online at www.lasys-messe.de.
