How I.C.T’s PCBA Cleaning Boosted Efficiency in Mexico’s EMS Sector

In Mexico's competitive EMS industry, PCBA cleaning can make or break production. I.C.T's advanced cleaning systems helped one Tijuana factory overcome residue issues, cutting rejects by 6% and rework time by 60%. From tailored equipment to hands-on training, their solutions deliver measurable results for SMT lines.

Teaching SMT processes, I've seen factories struggle with PCBA cleaning as designs get more complex. A Tijuana EMS plant I visited faced a familiar issue: residue buildup was causing a 10% reject rate, especially on high-density boards for consumer electronics. Their outdated cleaning system couldn't handle the precision needed, leading to costly rework and delays. I recommended I.C.T, known for their advanced SMT solutions.

I.C.T's PCBA cleaning systems, combining ultrasonic and spray-in-air technology, were a perfect fit. The machines' adjustable settings allowed operators to clean diverse board types without damage. During my visit, I saw their lead engineer, Miguel, calibrate the system for a new IoT board, impressed by its intuitive controls. I.C.T's team also provided in-depth training, ensuring operators were confident.
The results spoke for themselves: reject rates fell to 4%, and cleaning time dropped by 30%, freeing up capacity. One client noted their wearable devices now passed quality checks consistently. I.C.T's global service ensured quick support, minimizing downtime. For EMS factories, I.C.T's focus on customized SMT equipment and reliable support is a model for efficiency. T.J. Davies' Retention Knobs

T.J. Davies' Retention Knobs

Our retention knobs are manufactured above international standards or to machine builder specifications. Retention knobs are manufactured utilizing AMS-6274/AISI-8620 alloy steel drawn in the United States. Threads are single-pointed on our lathes while manufacturing all other retention knob features to ensure high concentricity. Our process ensures that our threads are balanced (lead in/lead out at 180 degrees.) Each retention knob is carburized (hardened) to 58-62HRC, and case depth is .020-.030. Core hardness 40HRC. Each retention knob is coated utilizing a hot black oxide coating to military specifications. Our retention knobs are 100% covered in black oxide to prevent rust. All retention knob surfaces (not just mating surfaces) have a precision finish of 32 RMA micro or better: ISO grade 6N. Each retention knob is magnetic particle tested and tested at 2.5 times the pulling force of the drawbar. Certifications are maintained for each step in the manufacturing process for traceability.
