Why is exhibiting at PACK EXPO an important opportunity for your company this year?

Exhibiting at PACK EXPO Las Vegas 2025 for maxon and Parvalux allows us to showcase our latest innovations in drive technology tailored for the rapidly evolving packaging sector. As the global packaging automation market continues to expand—driven by the demands of e-commerce, logistics, and sustainability—this event provides a high-impact platform to engage with industry leaders, OEMs, and integrators who are shaping the future of packaging systems.

PACK EXPO also allows us to:

  • Strengthen brand visibility across North America and globally.
  • Connect directly with decision-makers in material handling, robotics, and automation.
  • Gather market insights for future product development.
  • Demonstrate our commitment to supporting flexible, scalable, and sustainable packaging solutions.
  • Promote our new motor-drive technology for conveyors and packaging applications including a new high-torque, direct-drive BLDC solution with integrated control and new super-compact gearmotors with very high torque density.

We’re excited to welcome attendees to booth SU-36069, where they can explore our modular series and speak with our Head of U.S. Sales for Parvalux, Alex Valentino, about their application needs.

What makes your booth a must-visit destination for PACK EXPO attendees?

This year, Parvalux by maxon will debut a brand-new modular drive system and high-torque BLDC direct-drive motors with integrated control designed specifically for packaging applications. Our modular system enables rapid configuration and prototyping, with up to 10 units ready to ship within 72 hours from our U.S. facility. This fast turnaround empowers engineers to test and iterate quickly, accelerating development cycles and reducing time-to-market.

We will also have on display our brushless flat motor and right-angle gearboxes combining maxon and Parvalux technology to provide compact high-powered right-angle solutions. The perfect solution when higher power is needed in smaller dimensions.

Looking ahead, what are your insights on the future of robotics, automation, and material handling in the packaging sector?

At maxon and Parvalux, we see the packaging sector entering a transformative era—driven by the convergence of robotics, automation, and intelligent material handling systems. Several key trends are shaping this future:

  • Collaborative Robotics & Human-Machine Synergy - The rise of collaborative robots (cobots) is redefining packaging workflows. These systems work safely alongside human operators, handling repetitive tasks like case packing and palletizing while freeing up human talent for quality control and decision-making. This hybrid approach enhances productivity and reduces workplace injuries.
  • AI-Driven Quality Control - Artificial intelligence is revolutionizing inspection and quality assurance. Vision systems powered by machine learning can now detect defects, verify labeling, and ensure seal integrity with exceptional accuracy. These systems continuously learn and adapt, enabling proactive quality management and minimizing costly downtime.
  • Sustainable & Smart Packaging Automation - Sustainability is no longer optional—it’s a competitive imperative. Automation platforms are evolving to support eco-friendly materials and reduce waste. Smart systems dynamically adjust packaging dimensions to minimize excess material while maintaining protection standards.
  • Flexible, Modular Systems for Rapid Changeovers - The demand for product variety and shorter production runs is driving the adoption of modular automation platforms. These systems allow for rapid reconfiguration between packaging formats, enabling manufacturers to respond quickly to market shifts and seasonal demand.
  • Drive Technology as a Differentiator - At Parvalux by maxon, we’re developing compact, high-performance geared motors and drive systems tailored for packaging applications—from conveyors and AGVs to shrink-wrapping and case-sealing machines. Our modular drive solutions are designed for fast prototyping and rapid deployment, helping OEMs and integrators meet evolving throughput and sustainability goals.
  • Material Handling with Intelligence - Autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and smart conveyors are becoming essential in high-throughput environments. These systems not only move materials efficiently but also integrate with upstream and downstream processes to create seamless, data-driven packaging lines.

As the packaging industry continues to evolve, maxon and Parvalux remain committed to delivering motion solutions that are not only precise and reliable but also adaptable to the dynamic needs of modern automation.
