Stäubli Showcases New TX2 Collaborative Robots at USA Science & Engineering Festival

The innovative mechatronics solutions provider will encourage students to pursue careers in STEM

DUNCAN, S.C. (March 20, 2018) -- Stäubli will showcase its new TX2 line of collaborative robots at the USA Science & Engineering Festival in Washington D.C., April 7-8. The TX2 collaborative robots will be on display in the robotics garden (booth #2330) with Stäubli personnel on hand to answer questions from students attending about the innovative new line, man-robot collaboration (MRC) and how their interests in STEM can lead to a future in robotics.

USA Science & Engineering Festival celebrates STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering and Math - and the variety of career paths available to students who choose to study within these fields. Stäubli Robotics will take part in the robotics garden at this years festival, showcasing their TX2-40 robot and demonstrating the numerous ways Stäublis new line is redefining how humans and machines can safely interact in a variety of scenarios.

"The versatility offered by the TX2 line is opening up new possibilities for how industrial manufacturers are incorporating automated solutions into their workflows," said Roger Varin, CEO, Stäubli North America. "At the USA Science & Engineering Festival, we hope to encourage the next generation to pursue a career in a STEM-related field and be the spark that ignites the next great innovation."

Stäublis fast and precise TX2 collaborative robots are redefining performance with an ideal combination of speed, rigidity, size and precision. These collaborative robots have unique features that make them adaptable to all industries, including sensitive and complex environments. With the launch of the TX2 series and CS9 safety control, Stäubli has opened a new chapter in man-robot collaboration. The six-axis robots have a separate safe digital encoder for each axis and an integrated safety board. All safety features comply with the stringent requirements of the highest safety category, SIL3/PLe.

Students can visit Stäubli in the robotics garden (booth #2330) to learn more about how the latest innovations from Stäubli Robotics are redefining the workforce, and to learn more about where a career in robotics can lead.

About the USA Science & Engineering Festival
Founded by serial entrepreneur Larry Bock and Lockheed Martin executives to address the severe shortage in science and tech talent, the USA Science & Engineering Festival is the only national science festival. It was developed to increase public awareness about the importance of science and to encourage youth to pursue careers in science and engineering by celebrating science in much the same way as society celebrates Hollywood celebrities, professional athletes and pop stars. The Festival Expo is presented by Lockheed Martin with important support from Chevron. Visit USAScienceFestival.org, connect on Facebook, and follow on Twitter @USAScienceFest.
