Visitors can find out more about the new releases HALCON 17.12 and MERLIC 3 at the VDMA pavilion at booth 151 in hall 3A - with a focus on the innovative deep learning functionality. A practical example is highlighted in an exciting live demo: It shows how new machine vision functions optimize optical character recognition (OCR) applications. Thereby, MERLIC 3 can use cutting-edge deep learning technologies to precisely detect various fonts on packaging, such as expiry dates or batch numbers. Moreover, the demo also provides viewers with insights into how MERLIC can be used to seamlessly integrate a programmable logic controller (PLC) and view the remote front end on a mobile platform.
