The version 2016.3 of Datakit's conversion tools enables to write NX™ assemblies

The Datakit NX write interface is now also able to keep wireframe data and to write assemblies.

Datakit, a leading CAD data exchange software vendor, has been providing for one year a Siemens™ NX™ format writing interface.

Following the enthusiasm generated by this new interface and the requests of its users, Datakit has extended the range of supported data.

The interface, which was already able to write parts in NX™ format, with their geometry and their related attributes is now also able to keep wireframe data and to write assemblies.

Thus, users of the standalone converter CrossManager can now convert assemblies coming from various formats (such as CATIA V5™, SOLIDWORKS™ or Creo™) to NX™ format (.prt), keeping their assembly structure and their wireframe.

These improvements are also available in CrossCad/Ware, an API enabling software vendors to integrate Datakit technology in their own application. They are thus able to export NX™ assemblies from their software.

Datakit also provides a plug-in for SOLIDWORKS™ which benefits from these enhancements. This plug-in enables to add to SOLIDWORKS the ability to export the open part or assembly in NX™ format (.prt).
