HORIZON TO SHOWCASE SPACE-READY COATING AND MICRO-AM BREAKTHROUGHS AT SPACE TECH EXPO EUROPE

With mounting interest from major satellite OEMs, Horizon’s goal at this year’s event is to connect more directly with smaller, agile companies across the Smallsat, Cubesat and NewSpace sectors.

(3rd November 2025, Karlsruhe, Germany) Horizon will be attending Space Tech Expo Europe in Bremen (18-20 November), marking a major step forward in promoting its now space-validated coating and micro-3D printing technologies for advanced RF and mmWave applications.

With mounting interest from major satellite OEMs, Horizon's goal at this year's event is to connect more directly with smaller, agile companies across the Smallsat, Cubesat and NewSpace sectors.
CEO Andreas Frölich will be present at the event, hosting meetings and giving a technology forum presentation on Wednesday 19th November at 14.00 titled "Unlocking weight- and cost-savings for Smallsats/New Space/Cubesats by replacing metal with metallised polymer." The presentation is part of Horizon's engagement with the Green Space Center.

Attendees will also find Horizon at the ESA SME Booth (Q27), where the company will share insights into its recent test successes, including validation against outgassing, radiation, humidity, thermal shock and atomic oxygen. These results support Horizon's goal of becoming a trusted supplier of lightweight, space-ready components like antennas, shielding housings, filters, and waveguides.

"Space Tech Expo gives us a perfect platform to show that we're no longer talking theory," says Frölich. "We've passed the industry's toughest environmental tests and we're ready to engage with partners who need functional, weight-saving alternatives to solid metal components, without compromising reliability."

Horizon's core technology combines photopolymer-based micro-3D printing with a proprietary metallisation process, enabling parts with high electrical conductivity, excellent dimensional precision, 40-80% weight savings over solid metal, and proven resistance to space-relevant conditions

These features align closely with the priorities of new-generation missions, where mass, cost, and functional flexibility are critical.

"We're especially eager to meet smaller space players who might not yet know what's possible," adds Frölich. "With our recent qualification data and the ability to co-design components for robustness and performance, we think the timing is right to open new collaborations."
Horizon encourages attendees to schedule a meeting via the company's website or visit booth Q27 during the show.

ResinDek® TRIGARD® ESD ULTRA FOR HIGH-TRAFFIC ROBOTIC APPLICATIONS

To maximize the productivity of an autonomous mobile robot (AMR) or automatic guided vehicle (AGV) deployment, it's critical to create the optimal environment that allows the vehicles to perform at their peak. For that reason, Cornerstone Specialty Wood Products, LLC® (www.resindek.com) created the TriGard® ESD Ultra finish for its ResinDek® engineered flooring panels. The TriGard ESD Ultra finish is ideal for high-traffic robotic applications characterized by highly repetitive movement patterns and defined travel paths.
