Ecosistema GO, a new consortium to help industries in Spain accelerate the adoption of additive manufacturing, is born

The initiative is led by a consortium that gathers some of the main references of the sector: Leitat, as coordinator, together with Aitiip Centro Tecnológico, Idonial, Aimen, Addimat, HP and the manufacturer of wire-laser metal 3D printing solutions for industries Meltio. Its objective is to strengthen the transfer of knowledge, promote the industrial deployment of additive manufacturing and boost its adoption in the national industry.

Barcelona / Linares (Spain), May 21st 2025.- Additive manufacturing, which is based on the creation and repair of parts using 3D printing technologies with different materials, is becoming one of the essential technologies for the transformation of Spanish industry. It is a technology that allows industries in sectors as diverse as defense, automotive, aerospace, naval, mining, oil and gas, among many others, to manufacture in different ways, gaining in manufacturing autonomy, increasing productivity and reducing part production costs.

In this context, Ecosistema GO! arises, a project that promotes the adoption of additive manufacturing in strategic sectors, supported by the Center for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI) through the call for grants to Innovation Ecosystems based on Networks of Excellence Cervera.

Among its main lines of action, Ecosistema GO! is developing a map of capabilities that will gather in a structured way the technological resources, infrastructures, lines of specialization and R&D projects related to 3D printing in Spain. This tool will make it possible to identify strengths, detect opportunities for collaboration and guide strategic investment and technological development decisions.

The project also includes the organization of sector workshops in areas such as automotive, energy and aerospace. The purpose of these meetings is to bring the real capabilities of additive manufacturing closer to different industrial segments, share success stories and define effective adoption strategies.

"Ecosistema GO! represents a unique opportunity to align capabilities, generate synergies and accelerate the real incorporation of additive manufacturing in Spanish industry. Our commitment is clear: to promote a collaborative network that converts knowledge into concrete, accessible and sustainable solutions for the productive sectors. This project allows us to take a decisive step towards a more agile, innovative and resilient industry, and to promote its adoption and impact on the industry at a national level", says David Adrover Iglesias, General Secretary of IAM3DHUB operated and managed by Leitat, and coordinator of the project.

In addition to the entities that drive it, Ecosistema GO! is conceived as an open initiative. New companies, research centers and organizations interested in being part of this innovation network can join through the form provided in its official website, thus expanding the impact and sustainability of the proposal.

With a planned duration until December 2025, Ecosistema GO! aims to consolidate itself as the nucleus of reference for additive manufacturing applied to industry in Spain.

Optimizing Processes For Food and Beverage Industry Webinar

Optimizing Processes For Food and Beverage Industry Webinar

Compressed air is used in nearly all industry types within the manufacturing sector. Since it is also one of the most expensive resources in the manufacturing environment, optimizing your compressed air system for specific applications is beneficial. This webinar will focus on applications in the Food and Beverage Industry. We'll highlight the benefits of employing an intelligent compressed air solution for tasks ranging from simple liquid spill clean-up to more complex packaging and labeling applications. We'll also look at more innovative solutions with an automation twist to perform product movements and rejections based on quality control inputs. We will discuss several examples from the food and beverage industry to highlight these benefits and show their universal nature for other sectors.
