Tell us about your company.

HP Inc. is a technology company that believes one thoughtful idea has the power to change the world. Its product and service portfolio of personal systems, printers, and 3D printing solutions helps bring these ideas to life. Visit http://www.hp.com.

Your company will be exhibiting at IMTS, what is it that makes this an important event for your company?

The International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) is one of the most significant industry trade shows. It’s such an important event for us because we’re trying to disrupt the manufacturing technology market with our innovative additive manufacturing.

What makes your booth a must visit for IMTS Attendees?

We will be hosting an exclusive product launch showcasing our latest innovation at our booth. We invite attendees to stop by the HP booth #433000 on Monday, September 12 at 9:45am to be one of the first to see it! We’re also showcasing a variety of innovative applications in our target segments, industrial and automotive. Lastly, we have a booth theatre where we’ll be providing additional information about our products and systems as well as invite customers to share more about their success stories with HP’s technology.

IMTS has many educational sessions, forums & Demos, is your company involved in any of them this year?

Yes! HP will be participating at the Additive Manufacturing Conference, kicking off the opening session on Thursday, September 15th! We will invite customers up to the stage with us and talk about our latest innovations. Apart from that, as mentioned previously, we’ll have several speaking sessions at our own booth with HP representatives as well as customers.

When you get a chance to walk the exhibit hall floor yourself, what is it you will be most interested to see? Any educational sessions, pavilions etc. you plan on attending?

It is a great show to learn more about the industry. We will be visiting many of our partners and customers who’re also exhibiting at IMTS, as well as other Additive Manufacturing key players. I’m looking forward to it.

The factory floor is undertaking rapid advancements, be it automation, robotics, machine vision or data. Automation Technology is a huge part for many manufacturers, give us an idea on how your company and product is being utilized now in the smart factory.

At HP, we are constantly innovating to advance digital manufacturing for our customers including across 3D printing workflows and large-scale additive manufacturing fleets. The entire end-to-end lifecycle, from supply chain to the useful life of a part, is streamlined with the ability to analyze and leverage insights in a manageable, automated way.

Give us your thoughts on what the future holds for manufacturers and automation technology.

In the past few years, the traditional supply chain has left many industries frustrated when they were unable to move goods quickly. As the industry continues to accelerate automation for 3D printing, more brands, both small and large, will find it economically viable to up-end traditional supply chain solutions and remove the cost implications of part inventories, traditional molds, maintenance, administration, and logistics. 3D printing can address these challenges quickly and with unmatched capabilities such as expedited iteration and speed to market, less resource-intensive production, and a smaller transportation footprint.
