Okuma introduces smart factory solution
Rosemarie Stahl for ETMM: Okuma, manufacturer of CNC machine tools, introduces its solution for the smart production called Connect Plan at EMO Hannover 2017.
Connect plan is a complete solution that enables advanced factory visualisation, data processing and analysis as well as predictive maintenance. According to Okuma, the solution was created to maximise the potential of production facilities by increasing productivity and flexibility.
Okuma's Factory Monitor, a part of Connect Plan, allows visualisation of the entire plant, displaying the utilisation status of each machine, Okuma announced. In case of a machine failure, the system can automatically notify the operator via e-mail. Full Article:
