Lift-off for Mitsubishi LogisNext Europe Factory with Elisa IndustrIQ modernization deal

Mitsubish LogisNext Europe implements Manufacturing Execution System from Elisa IndustrIQ in all production lines in its forklift truck factory in Finland.

Elisa IndustrIQ has landed an important deal with Mitsubishi Logisnext Europe Oy (MLE), a leading manufacturer of warehouse equipment, that will see it modernize the company's factory operations in Järvenpää, Finland. Elisa IndustrIQ will deploy the Shop Floor Monitor solution of its strategic partner sedApta that will help MLE to digitize its production control, replacing manual activities with automated process controls.

The sedApta Shop Floor solution is based on updating and control of production progress, final production times and quantities produced through the continuous updating of performance indicators. It will give MLE managers real-time visibility, into its manufacturing processes including quality and assurance checks, final inspection and material consumption through tablets or laptops on the shop floor. This enables real-time corrections to the process. The integration of the system also provides a gateway to further equipment automation process control in the future.

"This is an important step into our manufacturing future for MLE. The implementation of Shop Floor Monitor will enable us to have a smoother and more efficient production flow and enable real-time monitoring and control of our processes and traceability of our materials," said Teemu Salonen, Head of Factory Operations at MLE.

"Landing an important contract with MLE is a landmark moment for sedApta in our partnership with Elisa IndustrIQ," said Giorgio Cuttica, CEO of sedApta. "This is our first entry into the Finnish market and we see huge potential in developing our presence in the country through this relationship."

"Manufacturers everywhere are looking for solutions that simplify and improve their processes, and that in turn help to make their operations more efficient and improving order-to-delivery times. Elisa IndustrIQ is building a diverse and powerful suite of solutions that enable the digitalization and automation of production processes, and this deal with MLE highlights our potential to support the modernization of manufacturing industries," said Lasse Nordlund, CEO of Elisa IndustrIQ.

MLE, formerly known as Rocla, selected Elisa IndustrIQ following a successful proof of concept trial during 2023 and will begin deployment of Shop Floor Monitor, a Manufacturing Execution System, to all production lines during the fourth quarter of this year. The project implementation will be managed by Elisa IndustrIQ consultants in collaboration with the sedApta Competence Center.
