Rochester, VT - Advanced illumination, the originator of LED lighting for machine vision inspection, is proud to announce the release of its High Intensity Back-lit Backlights, a new and improved take on Ai's established BL series. The BL2 Backlights provide roughly twice the brightness as their predecessor, making them ideal for high throughput inspections.

NEW BL2 High Intensity Back-lit Backlights
"It's not uncommon for Industrial Manufacturers to look at ways of increasing inspection speeds," says Joe Smith, General Manager of Advanced illumination. "By re-engineering our popular BL Backlights, our new BL2 Series will allow manufacturers to increase production throughput using the added brightness of our revised design."

Advanced illumination's BL2 Backlights not only provide improvements in intensity but also increases in emitting window uniformity, greater structural rigidity, and better thermal efficiency, all for the same cost as Ai's original BL Series.

The High Intensity Back-lit Backlights are pre-engineered for scalability, expandable in 1" increments up to 46" in length or width. The Backlights also feature two light conditioning options including collimation and polarization. The BL2 can be operated in continuous or overdrive strobe modes, depending on the chosen control configuration.
