TruTensionTM, TruPaceTM and TruTrackTM pulley are available now

AGAWAM, Mass. - Belt Technologies, Inc., a manufacturer of custom metal belt conveyor solutions for more than 50 years, is introducing the new TruPulleyTM line of products, which all work to monitor or regulate the tension, pace or tracking of a metal belt. The patent-pending TruTensionTM, TruPaceTM and TruTrackTM pulleys are available as standalone products or as part of a conveyor system designed by Belt Technologies engineers and manufactured in the United States.

The TruTensionTM Pulley incorporates sensors to measure the tension of a steel belt, allowing users to optimize the belt's performance and maximize its lifespan. The TruTensionTM pulley leverages a small, enclosed controller (separate from the pulley) that senses the bearing load in the pulley. Through a calibration process, the pulley measures the belt tension and displays it digitally on the controller display—making TruTensionTM a first of its kind in the marketplace.
The TruPaceTM Pulley consists of a thin-walled tube with end caps that add rigidity and allow for multiple mounting options for the end user. These pulleys can be accelerated very quickly with low power output and can be customized to meet customer specifications. Compared to standard pulley designs of similar diameter and width, the TruPaceTM Pulley offers a significant decrease in inertia to allow designers to specify smaller motors and gearboxes for their equipment.
The TruTrackTM Pulley precisely automates belt tracking by using a segmented roller design that moves with virtually no friction along the shaft between two edge guides, improving the lifespan of the belt. The segmented design of the TruTrackTM Pulley substantially reduces side loads on the belt, preventing damage to its edge and improving belt life in ways standard edge guides or flanges can't.
