Visual Components and NVIDIA Launch FactoryLens Digital Twin Technology

Today's advanced manufacturing equipment, processes, and facilities are increasingly designed and tested in simulation, with that validation only as useful as how closely it reflects the real world.

CARMEL, Ind., September 30, 2026 - Visual Components, a global leader in 3D manufacturing simulation and robot offline programming, has announced FactoryLens, a new viewport built directly into the company's simulation platform and powered by the NVIDIA Omniverse libraries. Developed as the latest step in Visual Components' collaboration with NVIDIA, FactoryLens allows manufacturers to take simulated factory layouts they're already using and export them into a more realistic, real-time digital twin environment.

Today's advanced manufacturing equipment, processes, and facilities are increasingly designed and tested in simulation, with that validation only as useful as how closely it reflects the real world.

Visual Components 3D simulation software allows manufacturers to plan, validate, and optimize factory layouts and workflows prior to building, while FactoryLens extends those existing workflows into a more realistic digital-twin environment based on a user's existing platform. Rather than recreating factory models in separate visualization software, users can visualize their large-scale layouts in real time, control materials and appearance, record high-quality video, and export factory configurations using Universal Scene Description (OpenUSD) for use in compatible external environments, all without leaving their Visual Components software.

Visual Components users can build factory and warehouse simulations using a library of more than 4,000 components, including robots, machines, conveyors, autonomous mobile robots, forklifts, and other production equipment. FactoryLens adds a photorealistic layer to these environments that are powered by NVIDIA RTX, while NVIDIA PhysX continues to support realistic physics underneath.

FactoryLens will provide a foundation for future digital twin and physical AI use cases, such as vision-based virtual commissioning, synthetic-data generation, and model and policy training and evaluation, as the platform's capabilities evolve.

"Integrating NVIDIA technologies into Visual Components helps bring greater physical accuracy and realism to simulated environments, making simulation an even more valuable tool as physical AI continues to evolve," said Mustafa Kamal, Business Development Director at Visual Components. "By combining NVIDIA's open libraries and frameworks with Visual Components' fast, easy-to-use simulation software, we're making it easier for more people to build realistic digital twins and explore how physical AI can perform in the real world."

The partnership represents a continuation of Visual Components' broader digital twin journey, extending simulation into a more visual, more accessible, and more collaborative experience for every stakeholder involved in factory design.
