Building on its recent milestone of more than $1 billion invested in U.S. manufacturing over the past five years, Siemens today announced a combined investment of over $200 million in new manufacturing facilities in Pendergrass, Georgia and Grand Prairie, Texas that will expand its U.S. electrical infrastructure manufacturing footprint and create more than 1,500 jobs. More than $185 million of this investment is dedicated to a new 550,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Pendergrass, Georgia. The facility will produce critical low voltage electrical infrastructure products and systems for the data center market, supporting America's growth in AI infrastructure and cloud computing.

Concurrently, Siemens is developing a $19 million Grand Prairie, Texas facility that will increase the capacity of its nearby flagship switchgear factory to support semiconductor, automotive, healthcare and other industrial and infrastructure markets requiring critical power. The 96,000-square-foot site will be a dedicated location for factory acceptance testing and warehousing for Siemens' Electrical Products business.

The facilities will create high-quality, well-paying careers that do not require four-year degrees. These include fabrication, assembly, material handling, testing, and engineering roles with hiring beginning at the Grand Prairie location in late 2026 and the Pendergrass site in 2027.

Georgia's business-friendly environment, combined with Pendergrass' proximity to Siemens' existing electrical manufacturing footprint in South Carolina, creates a regional supply chain advantage. The region's strong workforce ecosystem, proximity to Siemens' existing factories, and access to supporting technicians and suppliers will allow the facilities to scale production quickly.

"Building these facilities strengthen our ability to serve customers more efficiently while expanding advanced manufacturing capacity in a region that is already home to many of the technicians, suppliers and industry expertise that support our business."

Aligned with Siemens' commitment to achieve net-zero carbon operations by 2030, both facilities will be 100% electrified from their inception. The Pendergrass facility will feature electric paint lines and advanced energy management systems, establishing a new benchmark for energy efficient manufacturing.

In Grand Prairie, the site is utilizing Siemens' Digital Industries Software to optimize production. Siemens Technomatix's 3D models are used to simulate the production lines for new layouts, logistics and workstation planning.

These investments continue to reflect Siemens' broader commitment to strengthening American manufacturing and infrastructure. The company recently celebrated a milestone of $1 billion already invested in domestic manufacturing that support American industry, infrastructure and transportation over the past five years. These latest two projects add to that investment and strengthen domestic manufacturing for local demand, bolster American supply chains and create well-paying manufacturing jobs.
