Mokena, Ill., August 3, 2026 - For completely automated product handling from slicer to package, Provisur Technologies, a Fortifi Food Processing Solutions company, will spotlight its Formax® Free Movement System (FMS) at Pack Expo 2026 in booth LU-7807. The FMS addresses the food industry challenges of labor shortages, increased hygiene risks, and limited facility floorspace, while helping processors increase output and drive growth.

The FMS is the only machine with free-floating movers that travel on an electromagnetic surface in configurations that users can program. This first-of-its-kind technology eliminates costly, less hygienic physical labor and opens the door to more profitable applications without the need to add new machines.

With a simple space-saving design, the FMS can be used for meat and cheese slicing lines, sandwich lines, snack packs, variety packs and more. It also combines a variety of product handling functions into a single solution, giving processors an automated line that won't eat up space, disrupt the sliced portion presentation, or require more maintenance.

In addition, the Formax SX550, Provisur's largest volume slicer, will feed into the FMS. The SX550 combines high throughput and accurate portion control in a compact footprint. Its upper infeed conveyors maintain product control all the way to the blade, while its innovative blade design ensures every last slice is captured to maximize yields.

The SX550 can be configured to meet production requirements at installation, with additional functionality available as processing needs evolve. Its hygienic open design also simplifies cleaning and sanitation, making it well suited for calibrated or irregularly shaped lunchmeat, cheese, whole muscle products, and streaky bacon.

Fortifi companies Nothum Food Processing Systems and MHM Automation will also be on hand in the booth. MHM will highlight its reverse packaging technology along with its freezer and chilling tunnels, while Nothum will provide information on its automated batter, breading, and frying lines.
