Hinton Lumber Products has brought its Charleston, SC facility online, adding new automated pallet production capacity to support growing Southeast manufacturing demand and exporters preparing for the EU's August 2026 PPWR deadline.

Lumber Products LLC, a leading national pallet supplier and the largest producer of block pallets in the United States, has officially opened its Charleston, South Carolina, facility, activating new automated pallet production capacity to support growing demand across the Southeast.

Now operational at more than 200,000 square feet, the facility will produce high-volume block, stringer, chemical pallets (CP), and heat-treated pallets for export. It will serve industrial manufacturing, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries, many of which ship through the Port of Charleston.

The site is designed around robotics-driven manufacturing and will continue to scale with additional production lines as demand grows. With production now underway, the facility is already supporting customers requiring reliable, high-volume pallet supply near a major East Coast export hub.

Located near the Port of Charleston, the operation strengthens Hinton's ability to support global supply chains with ISPM 15-compliant and EPAL-certified pallets. The launch comes as manufacturers prepare for the European Union's Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), which becomes mandatory in August 2026.
