PMMI Foundation Golf Tournament Raises Over $40,000 to Support the Future Workforce

Held the day before the opening of PACK EXPO Las Vegas, the event brought together industry leaders and supporters for an exciting, high-energy day of networking, camaraderie, and charitable giving — all to support the next generation of packaging and processing professionals.

Herndon, Virginia; Oct. 6, 2025 — The PMMI Foundation, the charitable arm of PMMI, The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, successfully concluded its biennial Charity Golf Tournament on Sunday, Sept. 28, at Las Vegas's iconic Bali Hai Golf Club, raising more than $40,000. Held the day before the opening of PACK EXPO Las Vegas, the event brought together industry leaders and supporters for an exciting, high-energy day of networking, camaraderie, and charitable giving — all to support the next generation of packaging and processing professionals.

Each year, the PMMI Foundation powers initiatives to inspire and encourage students to pursue careers in packaging and processing. Since it's inception, the PMMI Foundation has provided more than $5.4 million to education partners and students to help shape the future workforce.
Funds raised at the Golf Tournament, along with events such as PACK gives BACK™, the Amazing Packaging Race, Silent Auctions, and generous donations from PMMI member companies, complement the financial support provided by PMMI.

"We're incredibly thankful to our sponsors and golfers for making this event a huge success," says Stephan Girard, senior director, education & workforce development, PMMI. "Their support ensures that initiatives like the PMMI Foundation & SparkForce™ (FMA) manufacturing summer camps, as well as academic scholarships, remain available for students across North America."
The winning team—Dustin Lee, Jerry Foy, Joe Bucaria, and Seth Licke—claimed bragging rights and, in a generous gesture, donated their prize back to the PMMI Foundation.
