A3 Launches “Automated with Brian Heater” Podcast to Explore the Future of Robotics, AI, and Automation

Weekly series features in-depth conversations with the innovators and leaders shaping tomorrow’s technology

September 17, 2025, ANN ARBOR, Michigan - The Association for Advancing Automation (A3) today announced the launch of Automated with Brian Heater, a new weekly podcast that gives listeners a front-row seat to candid conversations with the world's top robotics and automation leaders. The series debuts today, September 17, with new episodes every Wednesday. The first installment is now accessible on YouTube, and is available on all major streaming services.

Hosted by Brian Heater, A3's managing editor and seasoned technology journalist, the podcast delivers long-form discussions packed with unfiltered insights into the technologies reshaping how people live and work. Each 45- to 60-minute episode features leading voices breaking down complex concepts in robotics, AI, vision systems, and motion control into accessible, plain-spoken context.

"With Automated, we're giving viewers and listeners unfiltered access to the brightest minds in robotics, AI, and automation," said Brian Heater. "These are thoughtful conversations that are accessible to outsiders and insightful to experts, while adding historical context and a human element to topics impacting all of our lives."

With more than a dozen episodes already recorded, the debut lineup features a diverse mix of visionaries and innovators, including:
• Marc Raibert, Executive Director, RAI Institute, Founder Boston Dynamics
• Deepu Talla, VP and GM of Robotics and Edge AI, NVIDIA
• Melonee Wise, Robot Ninja, Founder Fetch Robotics

From Hype to Insight
Interest in robotics, generative AI, humanoid robotics, and physical AI is accelerating worldwide. Yet with the hype comes confusion. Automated with Brian Heater cuts through the noise by tapping into A3's unparalleled access to industry executives, researchers, and practitioners who can explain what these technologies can and cannot do, how they fit into historical context, and what the future might bring.

"Conversations like these are valuable because technology develops in layers, with each breakthrough built on years of effort," added Wise. "Automated helps put that development in context by sharing the perspectives of roboticists who explain robotics and AI beyond the headlines and hype."
