Bosch Rexroth to present complete automation solutions portfolio at ATX West 2023

The latest technology demos and informative exhibits highlight the broad range of factory automation technologies at ATX West 2023 in Anaheim, California.

Bosch Rexroth will showcase one of the industry's most complete solutions for factory automation, robotics and smart manufacturing at ATX West 2023 on Feb. 7-9 in Anaheim, California.

At booth 4201, ATX West attendees will have the opportunity to see how Bosch Rexroth brings together a harmonized combination of advanced manufacturing hardware, software and engineering to create complete automation solutions that are smart, sophisticated and simpler than past solutions.

The booth will include interactive exhibits and working systems demos. Featured will be a Smart Function Kit for Handling, a 3-axis Cartesian robot, as well as a state-of-the-art flexible transport system that delivers high accuracy with unprecedented speed, integrated with a Kassow collaborative robot.

Booth visitors will be able to consult with Bosch Rexroth's factory automation experts to get strategic approaches and practical advice about how the company's technology can help them build smarter, more productive manufacturing solutions — and deliver those solutions with maximum speed and minimal complexity.

Key booth demos and highlights include:

MP1000R Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR): This groundbreaking factory floor logistics robot can autonomously move without human intervention and uses Laser SLAM-based technology to develop a "map" of paths/traffic lanes to deliver goods. Our locating software allows the robot to continue to change the map and improve over time as the situation within the facility changes. The MP1000R autonomous mobile robot will simulate the transport of assembled materials at the end of line from a workstation to a custom pallet rack, both assembled with various components from Bosch Rexroth's aluminum framing portfolio.

ctrlX AUTOMATION: The ctrlX AUTOMATION Cube showcases our latest versatile controller ctrlX CORE. ctrlX CORE is flexible in connectivity through various automation and IT networks and shows the engineering programming environment, along with the growing ctrlX World ecosystem, in cooperation with many automation partners.

ctrlX AUTOMATION products can be utilized in the majority of automation, processing and handling applications. It is truly the most future-proof automation system from Bosch Rexroth.

Flexible Transport System (FTS): This working transport system, powered by ctrlX CORE, demonstrates a magnetically propelled pallet transport system for high transfer speeds and precise pallet positioning that allows for independent and synchronized pallet movement, as well as integration into a traditional conveyor system.

The flexible transport system demonstrates a complete factory automation solution, featuring products across Bosch Rexroth's automation portfolio, including:

► TS2 conveyors
► ML3 synchronous linear motors with an iron core
► IndraControl YM

Smart Function Kit for Handling: The kiosk includes a presentation that highlights features & benefits of Smart Function Kit for Handling, combined with a working Cartesian multi-axis system whose configuration output can be created by booth visitors using adjacent Bosch Rexroth eTools software demonstration. The exhibit will present how predefined multi-axis combinations can be easily sized, configured and ordered as one part number. In addition, the Smart Function Kit for Handling software app running on ctrlX allows fast commissioning through auto parameterization of the servo drive.

Linear Motion eTools: This booth exhibit and interactive software demonstration will provide details on Bosch Rexroth's modern eTools for product selection, configuration and ordering. The Linear Motion Designer (LMD) is the calculation program for Rexroth's profiled rail systems and screw assemblies. It covers the complete range of roller and ball rail systems, as well as ball and planetary screw assemblies for Bosch Rexroth's Profile Rail Systems. And the LinSelect software allows design engineers to find the optimal linear axes and actuators from around 100,000 possible Rexroth product variants in just five steps.

NEXO: Experience a whole new world of joining technology and demo the latest addition to Bosch Rexroth's tightening system portfolio, the Nexo generation 2 nutrunner, featuring Rexroth's Operator Guidance Software (OGS), which seamlessly integrates into conveying systems, aluminum framing workstations and more. The next-generation Nexo is smaller, lighter and even more powerful than the industry-leading Nexo.
