These internally balanced fine boring heads include 3E TECH digital adjustment as well as analog vernier scale adjustment. One 3E TECH digital readout can be used on multiple adaptable 3E TECH boring head tools including VarioBore, 538 (537) large diameter cassettes, 465 (464) fine boring heads and custom tooling solutions.

The new 465 (464) fine boring heads have a full diameter range of 1.968" - 8.070" (50mm - 205mm) with the lightweight aluminum Alu-Line boring heads ranging from 2.559" - 8.070" (65.00mm - 205.00mm). Featuring the standard Wohlhaupter MVS connection, these boring heads provide the capability to adapt to any machine.

As the VarioBore 3E TECH tools increased in popularity, the benefits of integrating this technology into other boring products became apparent. With the digital diameter adjustment located externally rather than internally, maximum coolant pressure can be utilized, and there is no concern about damaging digital components inside the tool during operation.
