M. Holland Launches New 3D Printing E-Commerce Website

New site hosts the most comprehensive list of 3D printing materials in the additive manufacturing industry

M. Holland Company, a leading distributor of thermoplastic resins and 3D printing materials, announced today a new e-commerce website for additive manufacturing materials. The website, mholland3d.com, offers 3D printing material selection for M. Holland's clients, resellers and business partners. Built to streamline the process for clients, the website allows users to select the type, diameter and quantity of material, then purchase directly with no minimum order limits and multiple shipping options. All materials offered on the new e-commerce website are compatible with open-source 3D printers.

In addition to a wide variety of materials that meet high-quality control standards, the website offers access to M. Holland's 3D Printing consulting team. The experts at M. Holland are accustomed to helping clients understand which material they need, how to make the most of difficult-to-use materials and printers, and when and how to adjust their manufacturing process for the best outcomes. The 3D Printing team regularly assists with engineering services, machinery selection, material specification, training, education and more.

"Our primary focus is furthering the adoption of 3D printing by providing effective education, offering quality products and showing clients how to maximize their return on investment with this innovative technology," said Haleyanne Freedman, M. Holland's market manager of 3D Printing. "If we can help people find and understand which materials are best for their applications, we are supporting the industry as a whole."

As the additive manufacturing industry continues along its rapid growth trajectory, the M. Holland team is focused on making adjustments in real-time to help its client base. The new e-commerce website is one example of the growth within the industry and how M. Holland is adjusting to provide clients with the materials and consultative advice they need to be successful.

T.J. Davies' Retention Knobs

Our retention knobs are manufactured above international standards or to machine builder specifications. Retention knobs are manufactured utilizing AMS-6274/AISI-8620 alloy steel drawn in the United States. Threads are single-pointed on our lathes while manufacturing all other retention knob features to ensure high concentricity. Our process ensures that our threads are balanced (lead in/lead out at 180 degrees.) Each retention knob is carburized (hardened) to 58-62HRC, and case depth is .020-.030. Core hardness 40HRC. Each retention knob is coated utilizing a hot black oxide coating to military specifications. Our retention knobs are 100% covered in black oxide to prevent rust. All retention knob surfaces (not just mating surfaces) have a precision finish of 32 RMA micro or better: ISO grade 6N. Each retention knob is magnetic particle tested and tested at 2.5 times the pulling force of the drawbar. Certifications are maintained for each step in the manufacturing process for traceability.
