Rohde & Schwarz has signed a strategic agreement with Benchmark Electronics, Inc., to enhance its manufacturing capacities. The partnership enables Rohde & Schwarz to quickly and reliably meet the growing demand for its products

MUNICH, January 14, 2020 - Rohde & Schwarz needs additional production capacity in order to be able to continue its growth of recent years. Since the German plants in Teisnach, Memmingen and the plant in the Czech town of Vimperk are working at full capacity, the technology group has been looking for an external solution. Expanding on the long-term relationship with Benchmark, Rohde & Schwarz made the decision after an extensive evaluation of electronic manufacturing services (EMS) companies. Dr. Marc Sesterhenn, Executive Vice President Operations at Rohde & Schwarz, said: "As an existing Benchmark engineering services customer, we were very familiar with Benchmark's capabilities, global footprint and technical expertise.
