The company will display the latest products from its state-of-the-art special communication portfolio

HUBER+SUHNER, a leading manufacturer of radio frequency, fiber optic and low frequency cabling, components and bespoke integrated solutions, will highlight its extensive expertise in public emergency services as it showcases its expanded special communications portfolio for the first time at PMRExpo 2019 in Cologne, Germany.

The market-leading portfolio has established HUBER+SUHNER as the main antenna supplier in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. It also supplies security networks across Europe following its acquisition of Kathrein Special Communications.

"We have expanded our offering for security-relevant applications and strengthened our market position in the area of special communications and Public Mobile Radio (PMR)," said Andre Berninger, Vice President Sales Special Communication at HUBER+SUHNER. "Our special communications portfolio draws on the synergies between standard products within HUBER+SUHNER and our antenna portfolio to offer a comprehensive product range that is robust and reliable to address mission-critical applications."

At PMRExpo 2019, HUBER+SUHNER will present the first-of-its-kind Dual-Band Panel solution, which has the capability to revolutionise the remote antenna application landscape. Combining TETRA and LTE in one antenna, the Dual-Band Panel enables a cost-efficient revolution in PMR Network Planning and can create LTE networks from the same locations as existing TETRA networks. With its long frequency range, the Dual-Band Panel will perfectly fit with the requirements of the emergency services sector and can be used to bridge longer distances without compromising on the sensitivity of the antenna to ensure reliable communications every time.

Solving real-world challenges in mission-critical applications, HUBER+SUHNER will also showcase its Direct GPS-over-Fiber solution, the world's first "truly copperless" link that utilises the fiber optic cable to distribute both power and signal. This recently developed product supports rapid deployments by reducing the amount of hardware and enhancing operational effectiveness through the "copperless" link.

Alongside the Dual-Band Panel and Direct GPS-over-Fiber, HUBER+SUHNER will reveal other innovative solutions from its special communications portfolio including the Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) Omni antenna, the low-loss Spuma RS FR cable and lightning and EMP protectors.

"The PMRExpo is the perfect backdrop for us to launch our special communications portfolio," added Berninger. "With our expanded connectivity offering we can provide the emergency services sector with proven and reliable products that address the ever-increasing demands of mission-critical communications. The new portfolio covers all possible radio frequency (RF) service applications' needs from TETRA and GSM to LTE, 5G and WiFi in both SISO and MIMO configurations."

Attendees are also invited to watch Andre Berninger present some of the crucial market applications and product benefits of the special communications portfolio on November 26, 15:00, at Speakers' Corner, Stand C23.

Attendees at PMRExpo can find HUBER+SUHNER at hall 10.2 stand B16, 26-28 November at Koelnmesse, Germany.
