D3 Technologies Announces New Metal 3D Printing Capabilities in its Springfield Missouri Machine Shop

With the addition of the Markforged Metal X printer, D3 Technologies is now able to demonstrate and sell an end-to-end manufacturing solution to clients and companies interested in 3D metal printing as well as provide the software, development and engineering services to integrate flawlessly with the 3D fabrication process.

D3 Technologies, a leader in manufacturing solutions, announces new metal 3D printing capabilities in its Springfield Missouri machine shop, located in the same city as D3's Corporate Headquarters. With the addition of the Markforged Metal X printer, D3 is now the only company with a metal printer in a 150+ mile radius and can now demonstrate and sell an end-to-end manufacturing solution to clients and companies interested in 3D metal printing. Additionally, as the only Platinum Autodesk Manufacturing-focused reseller in North America, D3 also provides the software, development and engineering services to integrate flawlessly with the 3D fabrication process.

"Until recently, our machine shop was focused on subtractive manufacturing housing a variety of CNC equipment, running 24 hours a day to do fabrication in aluminum, stainless, carbon, plastics and more. In addition to that, we also have four other composite 3D printers in our Corporate office.

"However, we also recognize that innovations have launched metal 3D printing into a new era and new approaches to manufacturing are being discovered because of it. You can make parts now that are unthinkable to make with the traditional tool and dye techniques. The ripple effects will revolutionize manufacturing in incredible ways. Everything from what production workers do on a daily basis, to how the designer and engineer go about their work, to what the factory looks like and even to how business agreements are structured will be affected. We are helping our clients get ahead with an understanding and vision of how that could happen for their businesses," said Kevin Schlack, President of D3 Technologies.

By printing metal powder bound in a plastic matrix, the Markforged Metal X eliminates the safety risks associated with traditional metal 3D printing while enabling new features like closed-cell infill for reduced part weight and cost. D3 Technologies can now offer as well as produce parts in 17-4 PH stainless steel and H13 tool steel, with plans to expand to additional metal materials as they become available from Markforged, whom D3 is a trusted Reseller for.

D3 provides private viewings to demonstrate the Metal X capabilities to interested parties. In addition to the Metal X printer, D3 owns and operates seven other 3D printers with various capabilities and material selections.

PI USA - High Precision R-Theta Stages for Semicon, Laser Processing Apps

2-axis R-Theta motion systems are better suited to spiral motion than Cartesian XY stages. R-Theta systems often find applications in precision laser / semiconductor applications due to higher throughput, precision, and smaller size. See examples and options.
