Diakont Announces New Line of Gas Turbine Actuators and Digital Controllers for Increased Performance

Diakont, a leading high-tech engineering and manufacturing company, announced a new line of gas turbine actuators and digital controllers that increase performance.

Diakont, a leading high-tech engineering and manufacturing company, announced a new line of gas turbine actuators and digital controllers that increase performance. Diakonts linear and rotary servo actuators are the most compact actuators of comparable performance in the turbine control industry.

With forces up to 220 kN, Diakont released several gas turbine actuators that are tailored for applications such as inlet guide vane (IGV) control, nozzle guide vane (NGV) control, and fuel valve control. Diakonts gas turbine actuators boast an operating lifetime of 20 years or more. This best-in-class lifetime is due to optimized roller screw thread design, tight machining accuracy, and specialized hardening processes. Featuring an integrated permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) paired with a precisely machined roller screw, Diakont electric actuators are also remarkably lightweight and compact.

"The new product line of gas turbine electric servo actuators and controllers deliver industry-leading reliability and service life," said James Daly, Applications Engineer from Diakonts Advanced Technologies Division. "Diakont is utilizing its expertise from years of industrial actuator development to supply a reliable, high-quality product to our customers."

Model TR1 Tru-Trac

Model TR1 Tru-Trac

The Model TR1 Tru-Trac® linear measurement solution is a versatile option for tracking velocity, position, or distance over a wide variety of surfaces. An integrated encoder, measuring wheel, and spring-loaded torsion arm in one, compact unit, the Model TR1 is easy to install. The spring-loaded torsion arm offers adjustable torsion load, allowing the Model TR1 to be mounted in almost any orientation - even upside-down. The threaded shaft on the pivot axis is field reversible, providing mounting access from either side. With operating speeds up to 3000 feet per minute, a wide variety of configuration options - including multiple wheel material options - and a housing made from a durable, conductive composite material that minimizes static buildup, the Model TR1 Tru-Trac® is the ideal solution for countless applications.
