Maniks has discovered an adiabatic water spray system for the purpose of green houses. Econet controls the temperature of the green house automatically with the help of sensors by sprinkling the water over it.

What is Maniks Econet?

Maniks has designed an Econet system for especially for the purpose of Greenhouses in nursery and farms. It is a unique net of water and spray structure which improves the performance of Air cooled chillers, Dry Coolers and Refrigeration plant whilst reducing energy consumption by up to 44%.

Principle of Working

Working of an Econet is based on very simple principle it uses water spray to maintain the temperature. It is a traditional technique which is been used by Chinese, Roman, Australian and Persian Societies. The idea comes out from the evaporative air conditioning systems at homes where the water is added to a pad through which air is drawn into reduce the temperature. Lower the temperature at the input means energy costs converting the air to the required temperature this principle is used in Econet which is known as "Adiabatic Cooling".

How it Works

Econet uses water spray to control the temperature and for automatic control it uses sensors. Water spray provides an adiabatic cooling effect of the incoming air stream and it can be either initiated via an ambient sensor or alternatively by refrigeration head pressure override i.e. condensing pressure limit. As soon as these settings exceed a pre-set level the ECONET controller initiates water spray in order to lower the air on temperature for the condenser, hence, the condensing pressure can be lowered in order to save energy during high ambient periods.

Water spray systems provide an adiabatic cooling effect for incoming air stream and it is either initiated via a refrigeration head pressure override (i.e. condensing pressure limit) or alternatively by ambient sensor. Whenever these settings exceed a pre-set limit the ECONET controller unit starts to spray water in order to lower the pressure of air on temperature for the condenser, therefore, the condensing pressure can be minimized in order to save energy and cost during high ambient periods.

The water spray can be initiated via an ambient sensor. As soon as these settings exceed a pre set level the Econet controller initiates intermittent water spray in order to lower the air on temperature for the condenser, hence the condensing pressure can be lowered in order to save energy during high ambient periods.

Benefits of the Econet Evaporative water spray System

Automotive temperature control of greenhouses is carried out without human interaction.
Econet has been fitted to units worldwide where its patented water spray technology has helped companies to reduce their energy intensity without having to resort to significant capital expenditure. What's more, once fitted, it is virtually maintenance free.
Econet uses the age old adiabatic cooling principle and a 'smart controller' to reduce the temperature of air before it is drawn into the heat rejection coil of an air conditioner, lowering the temperature at input to lower energy costs.
Maniks offers you the very best pre-cooling system in Australians. With electricity costs on the rise, investment in an Econet System will have a quick payback period - less than one cooling season.
Water consumption is minimized as the spray is intermittent and only activated when required, hence it consumes up to 79% less water than any other wet system. With no reservoir and a large droplet size, there is no chemical treatment required and no health risks.
Econet can be retrofitted to any make and size of air conditioning and refrigeration unit, (mini split, air-cooled chiller, rooftop unit) without affecting warranty.
Highly cost effective, the system is easy to install, and is sold as a kit to suit the application.
