17 million designers have access to TraceParts' CAD content

TraceParts draws on its publishing network to share its platform's CAD content with 17 millions designers.

Saint Romain, France - 16 March 2017 - The TraceParts Publishing Network has reached a new milestone, with 17 million users having access to the CAD content on its platform.

As design offices increasingly seek access to online CAD models of industrial components, more and more CAD software publishers - such as Solidworks, Autodesk, Siemens, Onshape, PTC and Sketchfab - aim to provide their communities with a broad range of certified 3D models. With this in mind, PLM software producers and web portals involved in the CAD and engineering fields have also joined TraceParts network, specialized in publishing 3D product catalogs.

With over 100 million models of CAD components available for download on its CAD content platform, TraceParts has developed several types of integration so as to share its data with the rest of its network. Whether using iframes to directly integrate the TraceParts technology into a web page or via a web API, TraceParts is actively working to develop new partnerships in order to share its CAD content with the largest possible audience.

One of the advantages of this extensive CAD-content coverage is to increase the visibility of the components provided by the suppliers that promote their products on the TraceParts platform. Each 3D product catalog - whether it be for mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic or electronic components - is automatically proposed to the networks partner platforms.

Designers who have access to the TraceParts Publishing Network can select the CAD format of the 3D model they want to download, thus fostering interoperability and the possibility to use the data with any CAD software, from design to manufacturing.

T.J. Davies' Retention Knobs

Our retention knobs are manufactured above international standards or to machine builder specifications. Retention knobs are manufactured utilizing AMS-6274/AISI-8620 alloy steel drawn in the United States. Threads are single-pointed on our lathes while manufacturing all other retention knob features to ensure high concentricity. Our process ensures that our threads are balanced (lead in/lead out at 180 degrees.) Each retention knob is carburized (hardened) to 58-62HRC, and case depth is .020-.030. Core hardness 40HRC. Each retention knob is coated utilizing a hot black oxide coating to military specifications. Our retention knobs are 100% covered in black oxide to prevent rust. All retention knob surfaces (not just mating surfaces) have a precision finish of 32 RMA micro or better: ISO grade 6N. Each retention knob is magnetic particle tested and tested at 2.5 times the pulling force of the drawbar. Certifications are maintained for each step in the manufacturing process for traceability.
